Evatt to Stay or Go? (Poll)
very well put, sir.

Remaining in League 1
I was the same. Obviously wanted us to get up, but dreaded what a season in the prem under Freedman would look like. In reality, the money could have saved us from the disasters that came after. And we'd never have really appreciated that (and I'd have been moaning like fuck about Freedman 😁)

Evatt to Stay or Go? (Poll)
That's broadly where I was at - better the devil you know, slow and steady improvement etc. Couple of things have tipped me the other way. It's FV making the appointments now, not Gartside. They've had two so far. Hill on short notice made sense at the time, and they potted him quickly when they realised he was crap. Evatt's been a decent appointment, but has probably now run his course after 4 years and failing to hit target this year. Second, we've not really improved this year. Derby and Portsmouth both overtook us despite having the same issues with injuries. Many teams that would normally be challenging were in a mess financially - 2 o the relegated clubs plus Barnsley. And we've spent a relative shit-load of money in the last 18 months to basically stand still. Trying desperately not to be "in a camp" over this, but I won't be optimistic going into next season if Evatt's still here.

Remaining in League 1
It'll be bleak for Oxford next year, but maybe their fans will enjoy it because they see it as above their level (and Buckingham may have the nous to do ok for them). This one feels more to me like missing out on the play-offs under Freedman, although finances and poor appointments meant that ended up a shit show anyway. And stop pissing on my one crumb of comfort 😁

or it wasn't working out and you end up with a better missus. and best mate.

Remaining in League 1
I've come round to the idea that going up this year with the current set up could have been a shit show. It's a consolation of sorts, and I'm clinging to it!

Sarcevic
It's a decent listen to be fair, enjoyed it.

Sharon's not interested, but Evatt says he'll go on a date with you first and take it from there.

Euro 24
At least we'll soon have England to be pissed off at, deflect from Bowton for a while.

Evatt to Stay or Go? (Poll)
Absolutely not. Take no pleasure in realising I'm in the time-for-a-change camp, but when we assess how we've done over the last 4 years, we've pretty much finished in line with our relative budget every time (admittedly a bit of speculation on my part re relative budgets). If we do the same next season, it might not get us in the top 6. And if we're chasing the dream of a sustainable model, we need a manager who can outperform budget, otherwise we join the masses getting exactly what they pay for and piling up debt. Huge challenge to find the right man if he goes though.

did well to catch it to be fair

We're doing 2 this week after Evatt's sat down and talked with them all. Maybe suggests 1 has been decided and he's staying?

Evatt to Stay or Go? (Poll)
No, you've missed nowt. We've started every game this season with exactly the same formation. Other than the slight and ineffective change for the sake of changing something * on Saturday - with Collins as a 10 but still 3 CBs - I think there's only Northampton away where we've changed formations. And that was with 10 men and chasing the game. Other games when we've had one sent off he's stuck to 3 CBs. * literally Evatt's explanation

that's some P&L to be fair. Revenue $778,000 Overheads $328,778,000

Evatt to Stay or Go? (Poll)
It's not inconceivable he changes formation. He's done it before, from 433 to 352 then back. Even our 352 now has changed, with a 4 and two (wide-ish) 8s instead of two 4s/8s and a 10. To me though, that isn't the issue. It's his lack of tactical nous in-game, his inability to make effective tweaks that we see so often from opposition managers against us, and - as you say - his inflexibility to vary things based on opposition (except LWB). After 4 years of waiting for the promised land of exciting attacking football week in week out, I'm reluctantly of the view that we'll never get more than flashes and the odd game tempered by the massive disappointments when we just don't turn up. Time for a change in my book, and probably the best time all round while Evatt's CV still looks impressive and he'll be relatively in demand.

couldn't agree more. As fans, we moan about lack of loyalty from players / managers, but in fairness they get fcuk all from us unless they're playing like Maradona week in week out.

Been like a life-raft this week this place, spending time with fellow sufferers. Don't think I've ever spent as much time online. Like a victim support group 😁

to be fair, he didn't back out of the tackle. The only thing their mon could do was slide and and put it into touch. Maghoma (rightly) let him. No comparison to the one a few weeks ago.

The Managerial Roundabout
They were after Evatt until they realised they'd have to change their name.

The Final
I'm consoling myself with the thought that it'd be fuckn grim in the championship with Evatt in charge. Despite all the positives off the pitch (support, ownership etc) we've not really had sustained momentum on it since second half of league 2 season.

The Final
Watching the highlights on EFL show. Doesn't get any better, just thankfully shorter. They had so much space in midfield, especially first half. If teams effectively stop us playing through them, this formation offers fuck all defensively.
