  • Pompey sack Cowley then get in a rookie being Mousinho who gets the job done in his first full season with loads of new players none of this "they need time to fit the style... they'll be better next

  • Bang on for me. 532 works very well quite a bit of the time - there’s no need to rip it up and never see it again because a few teams have worked out how to combat it. Plenty haven’t, especially at ou

Careful what you wish for but thanks and goodbye

Stay. But he HAS to be less stubborn, more flexible, a plan B, less thin skinned.

If he can't agree to do that then fck him off.

This. He needs to reflect on the last 2 seasons and adapt. If he can't then I think he won't last through next season.

Got away with failing in the league last season with the trophy win. Nowhere to hide now.

Another season, but he has to learn; adapt, be less rigid etc.

We know the situation.

See what the summer brings, and the first 2 or 3 months of the season.

STAY! But if he continues to wear Pep as a top hat then why the fuck is he not more adaptable and tactically aware? Pep changes formation almost on a game by game basis. IE is so rigid it just gives opponents the opportunity to watch games back and work out how to stop us.

Rinse, repeat! It’s starting to eat away at me and I don’t get it anymore 🤷‍♂️

Off you pop(Evatt not you)

I am not arsed anymore but I hate the fact he will not change or learn. The same mistakes all the time and he just doesn’t seem to be able to get these lads up for the battle. He’s assembled a team who just bumble a long

Does he have the commitment for a rebuild? I'm not sure he does.

For that reason I'm going to say "go". Needs to be decided quickly either way.

Go! It's been 3 years in league 1 and it should be clear by now, he doesn't have the ability.

I'd keep him for next season but with  perhaps some tweaks with his Coaching staff , a bit like the turnaround for Phil Neal when Mick Brown was drafted in .

My main concern is what damage that defeat and the manner of it has done to him and the squad , we witnessed in 1991 and 1999 that those type of  defeats take some recovering from the following season , indeed those results were the beginning of the end for Phil Neal and Colin Todd .

Whatever happens a decision from the club or Evatt ( if there is a decision )  needs making sooner rather than later

Thanks But

Auf Wiedersehen

Best all round if he decided to take the break from football he's mentioned in interviews. He gets to leave on his own terms with a decent looking CV and gets time to recharge his batteries.

Meanwhile back in the real world, he won't be sacked yet ... and probably shouldn't be unless we've a better replacement lined up. Not (yet) drastic enough to sack him and hope someone better applies for the job. Memories of Sammy Lee, Megson, Coyle, Freedman, Lennon, Onions still too raw.

Can't see him lasting to christmas though - a poor start / outside the play-offs and he'll be gone.

His only saviour for me is the absolute shit show of injuries we had right in the thick of it.

But yesterday was on him and I think I'm tired of trying to defend or see the best in him :(

I cant handle another season of watching Santos walking about.

Bet he doesn't turn another job down...

Did you learn that in GERMANY?

Bloke has no clue on changing games........Was evident when we lost to Carlisle and Wigan last October/November time

Said he had no plan B and was laughed at here...........Sorry to say i was right.

Evatt for me was the right man at the right time........He got rid of Sarcevic, Doyle because the club got better than them and now the club has outgrown Evatt

Need to be top 2 by New Year or new face to come in with still enough time to turn it around

Doesn’t have to be all negative on IE he’s done a great job and really kicked the club on from a shitty time, end of the day he has his limits and I would hate to see it go sour with him

I really need

”I don’t know, it’s all too raw and emotional to say Yes or No” option.

Give him till Christmas.

But as @dusan nikolic said that didn’t work out too well for Neal or Todd did it…

I just don’t fucking know, I feel like shit

Think that’s the best post you’ve made on the topic mate 👏

It’s nice when it’s good but it’s all irrelevant.

I’m still drunk😀

I think the board will convince themselves to give him another go at it, so the job will be his if he wants it.

But it'll be very hard for him to come back from that. He's done a good job overall but all managers have a shelf life. I don't know how he can convince the fans or the players that things will be different next time.

He cannot stay after that pathetic sh1t show yesterday.

id of sacked him at half time personally
