Interesting enough, but the articles you posted don't offer any proper detail on the trade negotiations we're about to enter into. Neither do they offer any explanation as to how the potential obstacles discussed in the article I referred to can be overcome (to be fair, I've not read the one in The Telegraph because it's behind a paywall).
Am I right to assume that you just believe the politics will out?
You're probably the poster with the most faith in the idea that Brexit will offer us greater opportunities to trade on better terms with the rest of the world, so I'm just wondering if you're able to point to an article which rebuts the arguments made in the article posted by Winchester White?
I'm not suggesting that there isn't one or that you can't, but I'm less invested in the culture war than you seem to be (I'm not even a Remainer, nevermind a "Remaoner") and am more interested in the practicalities of leaving.
To be fair, the "this year" referred to in the statement meant 2019, not 2020.
People read that and then read that it's still not settled and they're going to start panicking. But then I suppose that's one of the reasons FV are so reticent to comment on these things publicly.
I hope we're challenging as much of the £660,000 fee owed to the "football consultant" anyway.
They're getting uptight because they're concerned that we might be about to fall back into financial difficulties. Those concerns might well be misplaced but it's not a surprise that people are particular sensitive about it given what we've experienced in recent years.
There's been no news on Wright but Hill is quoted as letting Earl and Chicksen go. Although I've wondered if he might just have been toeing the company line.
The only other reason I can think of for letting them go is that we think we can find better players right at the back end of the transfer window. There could well be some logic to that.
Weir, Zouma, and possibly Politic. I don't think any of them have been managed well but I also think only one of them has much of a chance of making it anyway.
I agree. We looked quite balanced. It was right that Darcy came off but it should have been a straight swap for Graham (he's not the best option but it would surely have been better than upsetting the team shape yet again).
