  1. Newcastle didn't win the World Cup in '66 though did they
  2. seconded, I scoffed a bit some months ago when somebody on the radio said "Many years from now we will look back on Svens reign as a golden era, when we qualified and reached the quarter finals of each tournament we entered"...................maybe whoever said it was right
  3. To get mine nice and clean I would have to ingest a bucket of this stuff and then give it s good scrubbing with some wire-wool as it works it's way out
  4. I've got some cream to rub on that if you want
  5. I'll try it out myself tonight with some Domestos, I'll report back tomorrow
  6. 'twas a classic advert that. The lad who played the kid has a great name in real life: Simon Schatzberger Sad fact for the day
  7. If you do happen tofind a girl from Prestolee who claims to be a virgin, I would give her a rub down with some vinegar as well before attempting entry
  8. Bugger, beaten to it by a few seconds (great minds and all that ).............at least I can spell vinegar though.
  9. try to rub it down with vinegar, if it's just a stain. If it's a "burn" then you'll have to apply a bit of french polish. CWP = handy around the house
  10. I agree, people keep papping on about "the next level", wll I'm not sure it'll ever really get much better than finishing in the top 6, unless there is a mega cash injection from somewhere
  11. No doubt he is also one of the mongtard-wits that has been slagging Allardyce and his brand of football off for the last 5 years........................
  12. or just something sensible like Abdoulaye
  13. I don't see that Aidy Boothroyd would bring any value to us. All season he has talked a good game, but they have played "kick and rush" all season and achieved absolutely nothing at all.
  14. Really, I always thought he was a lot shorter than that
  15. taken from Skysports.com: Due to the speed of the appointment, Lee has revealed his position will be re-evaluated by chairman Phil Gartside come the end of the season. "I'm very, very excited at the prospect (of managing Bolton)," he said on Sky Sports News. "It's a great legacy that Sam has left and I'd just like to continue with the good work that he's put in place. "You should never be surprised in football. I've had less time to think about it than the chairman has. I'm very proud to be here. "I've been very fortunate to work under some very good people and certainly Sam was right up there, if not the best. "We've got these two games in which we need to try and get our place in Europe. Because the chairman's only had a short space of time we'll re-evaluate it after that."
  16. I am not at all suprised, it is a right waste of time that dour commentary they give us. All the commentator ever goes on about is the nice pies or sarnies he's had at half time. Then he'll spend a couple of minutes wishing some no mark a happy birthday
  17. That really would make me smile if that ever happened
  18. no need to shout And, I'm not overly sure we can expect little Sam to change formations or the over all way we play for the final two games of the season
  19. I think it's the right appointment, it's all about continuity
  20. I hope he doesn't approach that big nosed red ginger Phil Thompson as his assistant
  21. Indeed, the timing could have been better certainly, but let's not forget what he has done for this club during his 8 year tenure
