And I like UK Subs, thought they were great but their song writing (Charlie Harper) and performances were never in the same class i was not comparing the stranglers to the u.k subs,just saying the sranglers were pooh that night,the subs are not one of my fave bands but i have seen them many times and they are not a patch on any other punk bands,just a good band to see that day.and for the record i do know a lot about music(although i don't really want to start an argument) perhaps a debate,ever heard of mass of black? Stranglers have sold more records than anybody else in the punk era and that includes the Sex Pistols, Diversity is what makes them, from the hardcore of Rattus to the love songs on La Folie (the madness of love) and Norfolk Coast proves that they still have the talent even without Hugh, in fact Hugh's last album (Hi Fi) was absolutely wonderful Greenfield is back with the organs, Jet's drum patterns are and were years ahead, JJ's bass supasses anybody in the last 20 years, the only one who comes close is that chap from the Chilli Peppers.... Baz Warne (Sunderland season ticket holder) can do anything with a guitar... only thing that lets them down these days in Paul Roberts who has a tendancy to ruin some of the classics although Valley of the Birds is in my top 10 all time Stranglers greats Pooh, go f??ck yourself, you know nothing about music

i saw big country a couple of times,and yes stuart adamson died in america in some motel,after splitting up with some bird,not sure wether it was suicide or a drug overdose though.as for the stranglers,i saw them at manny apollo some time in the 80's and they were pooh,although i had been seeing the u.k subs matinee at the poly earlier in the day and the stranglers had gone past the punk thing by then,they were moaning about people spitting.
