Samsung Watch 5 LTE

Has anyone got one ? Do they find its wank and the battery doesn’t last unless you turn off the 4G, the watch function, the watch in general.

Pick a basic watch face with as few colours as possible. Make it only come on if you actually touch the face. Turn off shit like temperature and constant heart rate monitoring.

Mine did well to last a day when I first got it. Now lasts 2 and a bit days. Not brilliant but I can live with it.

There are loads of tips on the YouTube.

A second for Garmin

Mine charges up in no time and lasts for days, and its from the cheaper end of the range (think it was around £130)

Got a Google watch "free" with my pixel phone

RRP £379 or something like that

I find it generally useless other than keeping a tab on heart rate/cals when working out and steps walked

I wouldn't be impressed if I'd paid £100+ for it, let alone £379

Which one she got?

I'm on the Garmin forerunner 245 and never had an issue with GPS

Complete fucking technology idiot here.

Can you get watches to make sure your heart rate stays within certain limits you can set? Alarm goes off to either speed up or slow down, that kind of thing.

For Zone 2 running.

Yes some Garmin watches have that feature

If you’re fooked slow down a bit and if you want to know how far you’ve run, drive around your route and clock it.

Thats how this tech free buffoon did his marathon training

I've got a Garmin vivoactive 3 from a few years ago and there's a training plan/mode that lets you do just that

Ha ha, been there done that

Probably this century as well

Surely running a line around Google earth is a lot easier, particularly the park bits.

I had a Samsung watch and I found it a waste of time. It needed to go on charge every 12 or so hours. I went out for a run once with Strava and Spotify on and the battery ran out half way round the route. And I wasn't even running that far. Hated the thing!

Aye.

Gmaps Pedometer is ace and free

most of the new garmins are like a sat nav

just use the connect app to put in how far you want to go and it gives you 4 different routes, north, east, south & west

it then displays the map on the watch face

I quite like the PIxel watch and the fact it syncs well with my phone compared to other watches I have had. I also got it free with the P7 though and agree that its not worth £379
