The Brackley board laid on lunch (as they always do) for the visitors board members and guests. About 20 covers on this occasion. They didn’t turn up for lunch, despite having said they needed 20 places. Apparently they had decided that it wouldn’t be good enough for them so they lunched at a local restaurant. I think two of them actually turned out for the lunch. I can’t remember if Fylde lost the game or drew it They certainly didn’t win it After the game they left the dressing room and their team, management and board got straight back on the bus and fucked off back up north, ignoring the post match meal that had been laid on for them A couple of their board members were heard to declare ‘we are not spending any time in this shithole.’ No class. Brackley Town is a decent club, by the way

May 24, 20233 yr Author Its a tough one for me. Hes done so much for the town of Fleetwood and Thornton-Cleveleys area. Poolfoot farm and the academy there is now a hub of north west footy. The facilities are ace. Its transformed grass roots footy round here. Obviously the football club speaks for itself and pretty much put a forgotten, destitute town back on the map. Hes like an energy sectors answer to Pablo Escobar. I fully expect a bloat of hippos to be bowling about the river wyre causing aggro in a few years.
