 Barton I’m not keen but I’ve not seen him blaming anyone, he’s just making a point about women commentators. These mythical gammons you keep referencing seem to upset you more than they should.

I had a mythical gammon a few Christmases back - never been able to quite nail it in quite the same way. 

Too much clover last year, could have extracted a wisdom tooth at the end of boxing day and I wouldn't have noticed.

Barton declared himself the King of Twitter, he is a fucking loon.

The fact is most women pundits are not very good, but are so are most blokes. Carragher and Neville were alright but now think the job is shooting the other one down. Keane and Richards just want think they are funny and laugh at each other. 
So his initial point has some truth but it is surrounded and overtaken by paragraphs of 'ain't I hard you woke bastards' bull shit.

I think Keane is ace. I could listen to him all day. Not commentary, but the overlap show with him, Neville Carragher and Richards is brilliant 

I prefer the EFL commentators/pundits.

They don’t act like every goal, pass and bit of skill is the greatest event in human history and needs to have gallons of jizz splattered down our ears.

Theres some flatdicks involved there as well but I can’t say they’re any better or worse than the blokes.

Barton is scouse. He needs ignoring for that reason alone.

Think that is what annoys me about their punditry they think that and the Overlap is the same job, not see  Richards on there, but Keane comes across very well even when the joke is on him.

Richards has hit haircut three times a week at £300 a go, that is enough for me to dislike him. The screeching look at me having so much fun attitude is fucking annoying.

Keane is a top pundit for me. Quite like his sense of humour as well. 

R5 live makes good listening for me. There are some good female pundits, presenters and commentators out there as well and it's about time they were given a platform. It's hardly a takeover. 

Barton's tweet isn't just a nonsense rant. He's been actively trolling young female vloggers. Imagine being that sad a bastard to go after teenage girls for showing an interest in football. 

Quite like the clips you can find from in the stands and the pre-game build up. Adds another dimension to the game.

99% of football commentary makes my teeth itch. There really should be choice of not having it and just having the natural stadium atmosphere without  muting it completely. 

Grateful I don't have to endure Matterface and Lee fucking Dixon on England games as much now.

There were some shockers during the Women's World Cup when they were trying to fill the numbers. 

I think a lot are okay now. It's bound to feel strange when you've been used to something else your whole life. 

Now Saudi Arabian commentary - there's a whole new level of irritation.

Firstly they try to hard, speak to much, less is more, in general they do know what they’re talking about but Id rather hear the professional opinion of someone who’s played men’s football when it’s a men’s game.

I grew up watching tv comms with one bloke who hadnt played to any sort of level and it was descriptive and opinionated

no need for co comms...but i know some want that

I do think its tough for a woman to speak from experience about top level mens football
