The libel legal process entailed sending Barton’s lawyers documents which included the presenter’s address. Barton held these up on Twitter, thus making the address public, though he later claimed this was a mistake.

It's pathetic aye. Makes him look like a bit of a wrongun when he does it on here. It's quite different to what Barton did to be fair. But if you go around doing it publicly with real names and faces involved, then of course it's going to be against the law.

This is something that has been part of our legal system since the 1980s, arguably before under different acts. It's a hardly a surprise he's been punished and lost the defamation case. 

If anyone was going to try and defend Joey Barton though it was going to be RW

What about the address he posted? Why didn’t he get done for that? So much for the great justice system you mentioned before. 
 

Do you think any of those tweets are worse than a man asking to go and cut peoples throats? Or paedophiles getting a similar sentence as JB?

I think the past 6 months have been so brutal that the odd daft argument on here has provided a bit of normality. When everything else feels out of control, you know you can pop into this place and join in with some reassuring bullshit 😂

Still had plenty time for lots of walks and the odd tv show. Just watched Trespasses on 4od - superb.

No regrets here, took the time I needed. Funnily enough I think a class of 30 kids will be easier than a baby. And I'm looking forward to having longer than 5 minutes to eat my lunch 😄

Was nt the address part of the civil action for libel ? JV lawyers argued that it put JV and his family at risk because if folk believed he was a ‘nonce’ they could attack his home. Which given Paediatricians have had that happen in past is not unreasonable. JBs defence that it was an accident was pretty much laughed out of court.
