A ‘painted from memory’ picture of Bolton v Everton. This is (apparently) exhibited in The Museum of Liverpool.

Good spot that!

Also seems to be a man on the embankment practising his Nazi salute. 😁

That's a cracker.

Too young to know but I believe Everton's fans suffered after that game.

Massive attendance, our last 50000 plus gate.

Not convinced it was Bolton v Everton...Just not enough snow and the away following are wearing red tracksuit tops. Red scarves and what looks like liverbird emblems on there coats. I just dont remember playing Liverpool in the snow

‘Painted from memory’ so I think there’s a bit of artistic licence in use.

Aye, but this must be the "called off" game not the LC semi? The gate for the replayed match is recorded but not the original. But I remember the papers the next day having it down as 33k. Can't believe all 33k got out alive.

BUT then again, this is clearly a night match - which that one wasn't....

Yeah the New Year's Day game was a daytime game. Had it finished it would have been played in night conditions but it didn't. The pitch in that game was totally covered with snow but from the small corner of the grass you can see here it isn't.

I know that it snowed in the Goodison leg of our LC semi but not so sure about Burnden.

Cup game before we beat them in that game in the replay?

Sure it was a bit snowy

There's a distinct lack of headgear for such a shit night.
