Anybody have/use them?

Thinking of getting some for inside my luggage as more and more airlines seem to be 'losing' cases more often.

Any other more-wallet friendly options that you'd recommend?

I've got one in the car, amazing bit of gear for £30. No idea about other options. As they need to be able to connect to the internet and Apple can do that by allowing them onto any passing iPhone.

You are relying on the tag being within bluetooth range of another apple device with its location turned on.

I got one for my daughter when she started walking to school and it was fucking useless.

If your lost luggage is sat in a warehouse and nowhere near anyone with an iphone you've no chance of locating it.

It's a no from me

I’ve got two and use them every trip

Useful that time we went to Toronto and the bags weren’t on the plane. Could see that they’d arrived on the next plane

Also, this year’s return from Croatia. Mrs’ bag appeared on the carousel at Manc mine didn’t . Carousel stopped so would have been easy to assume my bag hadn’t travelled. Could see it was in the airport so waited for the next flight’s bags to be loaded and mine appeared

A yes from me

Always thought they were too good to be true and wondered how they worked. When they invent one that doesn't have to connect to another device, that'll be a game changer.

Wife and daughters have hem (apple ones) in their cars, they say they feel more confident of finding their car if it gets nicked

Brothers bag had one, nearly been a year and nobody has found it,

Got one in my kitchen you can have that was with his keys. Don't know if you can reprogram them

Indeed it will but so far mine have served their purpose

Never actually bothered to learn how they worked so learned that today

My mate had one in his golf clubs from when he went away.

He had his van nicked recently and the club were in the back.

He followed the van on his phone to Bradford. Cheeky fuckers even stopped at McDonald's on the way.

Police got to it and it was dumped, but all his tools nicked.

Silly cunts left the golf clubs which were worth more than the tools.

In a slightly separate note my dad was telling me that his neighbour came round as he’d commented on their shit parking (a shared port thing) the Tesla recorded him and sent it to the neighbours phone😂

From memory one tag was quite expensive but 4 weren't so we got 4 Air tags.

One resides round the neck of our cat (only as backup, they're not allowed to roam here as they're little murdering bastards).

One in the car (in case stolen) and the other two on keys. Actually comes in handy when I've mislaid my fucking keys, again.

remember those little devices you could attach to keys in the 80s? you'd whistle and they would beep to help you locate them? wish someone would invent something similar for the firestick remote
