Flukes!

Its smarting tonight, isnt it

Not in the slightest, he'll be here for the season anyway, results from here on in mean nothing for wanting him gone sooner.

Doesn't change that the goals weren't exactly well worked pieces of play were they? Not our glorious leader's tactical house on full display.

They were a ballsed up passback and a cross that the keeper has had a stroke dealing with.

Buzzin mate but in isolation it means fuck all. Still have a moron in charge who will get us 10th. The incredible bit about it is I’ve never known a more stable board who are trying to help us. The one board member and him are a disgrace. We deserve so much more

Don't disagree with any of that.

Also pretty sure you aren't the type who wants us to lose games so the manager gets sacked.

I don't think we're going up but am resigned to the fact that IE is here for the duration.

Still hoping him and the players somehow pull off a miracle.

Do you get extra ooints for 'well worked'

Do we fuck

Its crossing that white line between those sticks

We did it twice while they fluked one

I have gone on record that I do not like the "cut of his jib"

But he is our manager and I am not in any way aware of the crap that goes on away from match day.

Currently I would be indifferent whether he leaves or stays.

I accepted this season was going to be mid table from the off so if we get a sniff that would be a bonus

I buzzed when we scored the winner but it means fuck all. Neville Chamberlin tackle seeing the victory though and thinking we will be ok on that shit and buying a fart knocker from Peterborough

Buzzing after the last 5 minutes and hoping for a miraculous L2 style come back.

I'll pause slagging Evatt until post-Rotherham.

And yes, we all know we got out of jail today.

So fairly typical of the type of goals we concede.

(Christ, we must have more assists for the opposition than ourselves 😄)

Please don't take my posts as defending Evatt, I think the man's a complete baffoon and some of his team selection are baffling to me.

But been saying all season put the ball into areas where the other teams  can mess up.

We finally did it, hope we carry on.

No. What changes. She won’t pay him off pal. We are fucked with him. They don’t care what us plebs think. No one wants him here. If we don’t break the contract now then why in the summer?  Unless there is a clause.

Is his contract not up in the summer mate ?

Honestly don't know.

If so, I think the only way he carries on is if we somehow get promoted.

His position would be untenable for me, given all the backing he's had.

Another year. Why sack him in the summer when he can tell us the same bollocks he can now. They are too far gone in a working relationship to sack him. Him and his Blackpool Boyfs will stay.

The money they invest in him is mental

she won't have the justification of year on year progress. Plus he'll have patently failed in the season objective (though you could argue the same in the summer). The argument "we would have gone up if it wasn't for ..." also won't wash a second time.

I think (hope) it's promotion or gone.

100%.

Especially after the summer.

She has no justification now outside of helping a loser which is admirable if it wasn’t bringing the rest of us down. I partially expect the retarded death threat to land him and Brett and the boys at least another year

My hunch is he'll stay if we get in the play offs.

That is now clearly our aim, nobody's kidding themselves about top 2.  So he'd be able to say "3 play offs on trot", plus cup win, L2 promotion.  And the fact that we were half way down the table on NY Day, it will be presented as a great improvement and signs of progress, aided by a successful January window.

Its a big if though.

If you didn't celebrate that winner, there's something wrong with you.

I wouldn't say I went ballistic, though it's not the same on Soccer Saturday as it is in the ground. A sort of 'fuck me' at 1-1 then 'fuck me' a bit louder at 2-1

This is how it's always going to be for us. Ups and downs, he's a top manager, he's a shit manager. Shit player one week, saviour next.

'Fraid if it's plain sailing you want being a Wanderer is not for you. And everyone who's been going for ages knows that. We've got what we've got. You'll be back next time same as the rest of us. Players, managers, even owners come and go, but the fans (mostly) are Bolton fans.

It's a win, which we needed.

Christ, what is their keeper doing! Take it though!

This is correct. I'm buzzing and the kids are buzzing, but the board should be looking at this dispassionately and seeing Evatt is just not cut out for getting above league one.

Ok manager up to this point but he's hit his ceiling.

Hes doimg the same as loads if keepers with that type of ball

Tbh, ny question is whats williams doing - he should be burying it

Are you actually saying youve not seen keepers stranded like that many times?

Its a great ball in, lampard made it an art form

If we lose today we'd have been well adrift of the playoffs. At that point, the whole thing is just spiralling. He's not getting sacked a day after we've had a £1m+ bid accepted for a player he wants. Even if he did, that's January wasted and the pool of candidates is shrinking by the week.

Ian's fucked it. Sharon's fucked it. I don't know what the answer is so I'll just take the wins.

He cannot be here next season though unless we're in the second tier.

Absolutely. Think the keeper expected Williams to get a touch on it (which he should have).
