The Table

How does it work ?

Under Evatt we could not string 2 results together but were always just outside the playoffs.

Under SS we seem to win nearly every week and are just outside the play offs.

If only we had beat Reading ! 😂

Since SS took over it’s been one game at a time. And apart from the odd round of games it’s been us that have benefited massively We’ve gone from hoping to maybe scrape 6th place in the playoffs

Good idea, it'll blow your mind.

Ruminating isn't healthy. I've done way too much before now.

We're on the right road now, just enjoy the ride.

Don't worry about me TMGJ, I'll be enjoying every bit of it, in contrast to much of the preceding few months.

Need to get top 2 I've got tickets for Slam Dunk festival on play off final day, missing either will be a shitter.

I've got plenty more where that came from 😀

On Orient, the difference for me is I'd expect that if we played them again next week we'd win (could be wrong).  If we played Hudds and Charlton at home they wouldn't be going away with 6 points between them.  But I'll try not to comment on previous games in future!

Previous games in the future sounds like a great way to beat the bookies

Not dissimilar to the Bolton News, providing yesterday's news tomorrow

Since Evatt left, we've got 22 points from 9 games.

Huddersfield have played 11 games and got 10 points.

12 points made up while playing 2 less is ridiculous.

How many could it have been if we hadn't given them our guaranteed 20 goal a season striker.

So, basically,it's Dion Charles' fault.

He started today and was subbed after 56 minutes

Given he hasn't scored as far as I'm aware, they may have scored more without him.

Meanwhile, our two strikers have gone from strength to strength.

I reckon if we'd kept him we'd have made up fewer points! :)

Need to concentrate on cementing the play off positions. Let’s keep doing our thing and see if that gap gets smaller. I think we’d need to win 10 of the last 11 for 2nd. It’s too big an ask in my opinion. I’d love to be wrong though.

Whilst it's still possible it's got to be the target. If we fall short we go into the playoffs on peak form.

Aye.

I suppose to go on an amazing run, just to be pipped to automatic promotion would be a bit demoralising, but it would be great to witness the run in.

Its a fine balance, but I'd rather be 6 points short of top 2 than 1 or 2.  We don't want a feeling of what might have been, or that we've blown it, going into the play offs should we be in them.  If the season finished tomorrow I'd be happy with 6th, playing Wrexham over 2 legs and being "underdogs".

Tuesday is the same amount of points but next weekend is massive.

Stockport at home, Wycombe also at home to Wrexham. A win and a draw for them and it could just be a 6 point gap to 2nd.

That gap was 16 points a month or so ago...

Yes mate, one game at a time because we need to win the lot for 2nd place.

Impossible? Maybe ....

I hope we can. It would be amazing. It’s something to aim for I just think it’s a massive ask. Let’s hope I’m wrong and we nail it. I’d self combust.

Yeah, best thing is just taking each game as it comes and seeing where it takes us.

Saying that we can dream!

Unfortunately we have left it to late for top 2 if Wycombe or Wrexham win just 5 more games we’re going to have to win 9 of the 13 and that’s banking on them not picking up the odd draw along the way if they do then we will have to win them all

Unlikely, but the fat lady hasn't even cleared her throat yet.
