Perhaps similar to last season's ending.

We have enough goals throughout the team though- we've scored a decent number this season.

Problem is the other end.

We've shown we can tighten up, but have to be very focused. We did last night, whilst maintaining high level of possession, which hasn't always been the case.

Morley back available too, Dempsey close, so things are still in the positive for us.

Have to get that positivity and consistency back, and if we do, we'll be fine.

Blackpool are three points behind and we have a game in hand. Thought we were better than them Saturday as well.

They won’t win them all and we can lose one and draw one and they can’t catch us

Shouldn't forget Play Offs can be won with three 0-0 draws (I'm sure somebody has).

Nobody in that top 6 holds much fear. We were the team to fear last season and capitulated. I'd say this season, whichever 4 teams are in the Play offs have an equal 1 in 4 chance. No favourites as such! 

And there's a million statistical studies out there which show that form / late play off chargers are no more likely to win than anyone else (actually finishing 3rd is your best chance of winning them - but we know how that can turn out)

SS tried McAtee on his own up front v Orient and it didn't work. Was a bit of a 'needs must' thing as, if I remember rightly, Collins wasn't 100%, and he made a reasonable fist of it, but in reality we were zero threat and Collins was brought on at half time. 

McAtee and Collins are probably going to have to play pretty much every minute of every game we have left if we're to win enough to get in play offs.

I reckon they’ll likely be out of it after those 3 - they’ve been on a great run but ultimately left themselves too much to do.

Totally agree - nobody will fear us - just making the point that, when the Play offs come around, i think it's going to be very even (whether that includes us or not). If Blackpool were to get in the Play Offs (I don't think they will), I'd give them as much chance of winning as any of the others. Not the sort of thing I'd say every season.

In a nutshell, I reckon we've a 1 in 4 chance of making the play offs, and a 1 in 4 chance of winning them. Not great, but I love the fact we've still got an end of season to look forward to in early April.

I think we've a better than one in four chance of reaching them.

Reading seem to have easy fixtures, but only have 2 home games left and 4 of their next 5 are away from home. None of them are ‘tough’ but they are so much better at home (3rd in league) than they are away (19th in league) that it might see them fall short. 

Huddersfield are in poor form but still seem to win the home games that they should do (ie yesterday) and they’ve got 2 of those left, plus Wycombe. Their away form is poor and have to go to Stockport and Burton who are fighting for their lives.

I can’t see either getting more than 10 points, so 10 points for us sees us into 6th for me.

We play 5 teams that have nothing to play for, but on paper I’d see none as ‘easy’ games. Hopefully they’ll all be on the beach and I do think we’ll have enough, but going to places like Barnsley and Posh and having to get past Rotherham at home, aren’t as easy in my mind as playing 11-15th in the league.

We’re a couple of points ahead of where I thought we’d be.

But I thought we’d win our next two against Rotherham and Barnsley, so 4 points would be a good return to keep us on track.

And that was with a little blip in the Wycombe, Lincoln and Peterborough games to come

You put it like that and 9/10 points left to get against mid-table opposition (Wycombe discounted) doesn’t seem a problem.

But, as you say, when you look at the opponents and the individual games and us scrapping and scraping to get results, you just know it won’t be straightforward for BWFC.

 

Rotherham won't be easy, and they won't comfortably at their place, albeit under Evatt.

Barnsley will be difficult, if only because of recent history.

Lincoln are a mixed bag.

Plenty of twists and turns yet.

We won't win 5 on the bounce but we won't need to. Reading will drop points. They're poor away from home and there's also a reason they only have a couple more points than us. By all accounts they were poor when they won on Tuesday night too. As we're 2 behind, i think we need 11 points and it'll be a goal difference job.

Not worried about Hudds - i think it's only us or Reading (unless Reading's results are all wiped out). 

Also worth noting Barnsley are beyond hopeless at the moment. Genuinely think we'll win comfortably on Saturday (as long as players remember to stick the ball in the net).

I’d say Reading winning 4 is as likely/unlikely as us doing it.
