Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy

Interesting on the post match interviews that they are bigging this game up.

An opportunity for the squad to excel again.

A winning draw on penalties - could be the most irrelevant penalty shoot-out ever 😂

What a game, missed pen, 8 goals, hit post, hit bar, missed chances for both teams.  What a great way to spend a Tuesday night and all for £10 ! home for 9-30, a bacon sarnie and a brew watching the

  • Shame about conceding a couple, but this has been a great run-out for our second string. This is easily the strongest squad we've had since Football Ventures took over, and the youth system is bearing

I reckon I have done the 92 as I have seen Bolton play at 92 Football League grounds - albeit 11 of them are now non league

Think I’m probably on the same sheet as Marc here. Once they move ground then you’ve got to do it again.

I’ve got two (not hugely different) lists of ones done with Bolton (64/92) and ones as a neutral (69/92)

If Scunthorpe for example come back up then it’s back as a tick having been to see us there previously, so if them and Rochdale can get their arses in gear then that would be helpful

The ones who chalk them up as neutrals (I’ve got a couple of mates who have done it that way) might see it as completion, but to me it’s a hollow victory and the whole point is how difficult it is to do it with your own team. That mon who was on Twitter at Everton in a Blackpool shirt (and supported someone else altogether?!) is absolutely the case in point.

which app you using to track? @Marc505 @Leyther_Matt

I'm on about 60/92 - prob would be near done without my forced hiatus a few years ago

117 ground total

Im analogue so just use the doingthe92 website. Its clunky and difficult to use but I don't care.

On all this 92 talk, I've seen more than one person who's completed it say that despite it taking decades and costing thousands, they felt absolutely nothing afterwards 😂

Same - I've been on football ground map for years, really easy to use

How many new grounds can you add this season?

Can't believe I've not got Leicester or Southampton (and only got Arsenal last season) considering the number of times we played there over the years.

Although Spurs and West Ham are the old grounds. Don’t fancy the militant approach so I’m having them! 😂

Aye I've counted Everton, Spurs and West Ham :)

I think there's should be a time allowance. Cant be discounting Everton when no fuckers had chance to go.

But you cant be counting Highbury when The Emirates is donkeys years old.

Both proper good aways once you get through the pain of actually getting down there though at least. Exeter is probably right up near the top of my list (another list!) of favourites at the moment.

79 - Should go up to 81 after Luton and Swindon In consecutive weeks.

People like to interpret the 92 in many weird and wonderful ways.

Most of them incorrect.

Does going to a stadium for a work do count?

68 for me.

Lost Everton this season and only been to Spurs’ new ground for NFL and Boxing, not BWFC.

Hoping to add Swindon, Bradford and AFC Wimbledon (did their old ground) to make it to the 70s.

Midweek Mansfield could be a tricky one and Exeter (if it’s not on fire) would also be new ones.

Two grounds baffle me as to why I've never been are Forest and Charlton.

Always evaded me for some reason.

went to Forest in our promotion season in 00/01

we didn't take many, nowhere near a sell out, but I randomly ended up in the trent end through a county mate who's brother had an st but was in hospitality

i kept quiet throughout, but the fans around me were doing my head in, because they were shite and we were winning

things like "these are fuck all, they're not even as big as burnley, burnley brought loads more than they did"

we scored a second in the 90th minute and I couldn't help but give a stifled cheer

enough to make myself known and had to make a sharp exit
