gonzo Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I've finished the week with both my Dad and Brother in hospital 🤦♂️ Our kid has had another infection in his leg, quite a common occurrence, hence the big decision, but this one was mega. Two days in bed off his bonce on Oxycodon and Morphine with mega strong antibiotics served no purpose. Ambulance job straight to a ward and on drips and stuff to isolate the infection and stop sepsis. And more importantly they really aren't ready got amputation yet. It's vital they go below the knee. He's having it drained and shit today. My old man had get up to hospital sharpish after the day befores blood tests and leg wraps due to ongoing lymphodema flagged his kidneys were working at 20%. He's already got a cancer/lesion on there buy luckily they say it's not even that causing the issue! Total dehydration due lymphodema/leg swelling and sores. Plus about 300 tablets a day and the silly fucker barely drinks any water. So last night I sat for four hours in SDEC unit while we waited for a bed. He was still waiting at 1am and not heard this morning. Oooh the drama. Quote
