won our first ever World Cup game, a proud day for me after enduring the dark ages of Canadian men's football during the 90s and 2000s. Easily the best team we have ever fielded.

Decent save from South Africa's keeper that. Very much reminiscent of some of his performances for Mamelodi Sundowns in recent years 😁

yep, easily up there with the likes of Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo

Whilst he's clearly on the decline, and possibly shouldn't be getting a start for Portugal, at 41, at a major tournament, for one of the better teams, to still be playing is incredible

manager isn't strong enough to drop him

quotes etc out of the camp suggest the team arent happy with it

all about him, which will be their undoing

Have to agree.

Needs bearing in mind that last nights opponent was Uzbekistan. He'll likely be relatively anonymous if he plays against any of the big boys.

He dropped him during the Qatar World Cup and his replacement scored a hat trick.

May be strong enough to drop him, but not strong enough to stick with it under whats probably pretty intense pressure.

That Xhaka booking was brilliant.

Hoping Brazil spank a good 5 or so past these chippy shoulder cunts

Absolutely farcical trying to pass around at the back with such limited players.

Hope none of these defenders are heading our way.

3 players already on 4 goals or more in this tournament.

The art of defending long gone from the modern game.

Rayan looking very very good.

fair play South Africa, didn't see them getting out that group

It would be ironic if the unjustly disallowed Vini Jr goal ended up being Scotlands saviour. Let's hope not but, if I hear correctly, if they did miraculously progress they would either play Mexico in the Azteca, Germany or France.

Astounding that they could achieve what they did last night without Grant Hanley.

1 deflected goal in 3 games and still with a chance of going through doesn't feel right.

Scotland weren't to bad first half bar those stupid fucking mistakes.

It's a shadow of a peak Brazil theam this current squad

they might not need it, but the morocco game shouldve garnered a point . they shouldve played for 0-0.

the team selection seemed weird, too.

they should have had a stone wall pen in that game also

this 3rd place stuff is just ridiculous though, just rewarding mediocrity, same as the conference league etc

when will the JOCKS

Know when there going Home

Fucking hell. England is a shadow of peak '66. Argentina a shadow of peak '70, '86 and '22. Germany of '74 and '90.

Until......................

Their fans were doing 'oles' after 5 minutes with a bit of possession.

Absolute clowns.

They don't help themselves.

Capable of better.

It's killed the groups.

Has to end.

VAR again. Booted in the head and not even looked at.

Madness

Mad start to these games.

Ere, does UK telly have the score from the other game permanently on screen in these final group games? It's a bit distracting!
