July 25, 200620 yr well? to be honest, in my opinion the winner will be the best of a bad bunch not one comes close to peter thompson on the left and he was 87 when we signed him
July 25, 200620 yr Author Oi , where's Taddy [-X he passed me by was he a right winger? thowt he'd have lefty tendencies
July 25, 200620 yr Willie Morgan by an absolute MILE! Would have put Jeff Chandler in there for his first spell at the club too!!! Steve Thompson on the wing? :-s Not sure about Alan Waldron being a winger either! Maybe Kevin Davies should be in there now too :D/

Steve Thompson on the wing? :-s Not sure about Alan Waldron being a winger either! thowt chandler played left wing? was definitely there when the golf ball hit him in his derby days steve thompson definitely played wide right for a good while early on alan waldron played right wing in front of ritson
July 25, 200620 yr Steve Thompson did play right midfield but not as a winger....I'd say. What's your definition of a winger, Mr. Casino? Seem to remember he was moved inside when it became obvious he wouldn't chase any balls put over the full back. Normally by Brian Borrows. That's where Browny got it from! Anyway, where's Michael Brown? #-o
July 25, 200620 yr Author Steve Thompson did play right midfield but not as a winger....I'd say. What's your definition of a winger, Mr. Casino? was gonna say you're taking this too seriously, but i think its an interesting point i like a winger to beat folk and cross it thompson, stelios and johansen don't/didn't do that hence my not appreciating em much
July 25, 200620 yr thowt chandler played left wing? Class players like Jeff could play either wing . . . he definately had a fair few games on the right . . . Sherpa Van Trophy final fer one! alan waldron played right wing in front of ritson He were always a sub when I went to be honest

July 26, 200620 yr Morgan for me too. Never EVER failed to get pass the defender to bang a cross in. The only game I really remember Taddy playing was his debut against........ when he came on as sub. He played on the left and fell over infront of the Burnden Paddock after 5 mins. Can't say I remember him kicking a ball after that game.
July 26, 200620 yr David Lee Exactly...mightn't have voted for him but seeing as Storer and Johansen are in the list...
July 26, 200620 yr I seem to remember David Lee taking on the wingers and defenders and putting in some wicked crosses (or is that just rose tinted specs?).

July 26, 200620 yr Tad for sentimental reasons!!! Everyone was signing Poles that year. Anyway what about the great Peter Thompson who had a great indian summer of a season for us in 74 & 75?
