I've always been against basing players worth / price on what others are transferred for as there are so many external factors, but it does beg the question, IF Spurs or others came in for Nolan, what price would you be happy with?

You can't really compare different players where different clubs are involved. A club that is strapped for cash will sell a player for less money than if they did not need to sell.
