Cracking night - living in Soton at the time, got shit-faced on the train back :drinks:

Still gives me the goosebumps after all these years.

i was a kid and a jcl i suppose but i was there...

Went from the Cattlemarket, with a gang of numpties, who kidded me that everyone was wearing colours, i was the only one that turned up in a Bolton top, still it backfired, when in The Finsbury Park Tavern, i was bought pint after pint off the Gooners fans.

Lets get the atmosphere back to its maximum from our end on Sunday. Singing all the way through the game none stop. Lets really get behind the boys and get an easy home tie in the next round. Come on you white men!!!!!!

I'm sitting in the home end. Hope it goes better for me than the last time I tried that. Couldn't control myself when Ellery penalised Jussi for holding onto the ball for 6.000001 seconds at St James Park. Totally forgot where I was and got up ranting and raving anyway. Thought I was going to get the cr@p beaten out of me - fortunately everyone around me thought it was hysterical and they couldn't have given a shit who I was 30 seconds later anyway.

Director of the company I worked for at the time was a bond holder at Arsenal, and I had his ticket for that match in the 'clock' end. Probably the only Bolton fan in that end that night.

After the 3rd goal went in, the guy next to me shook my hand, and said we were the best team he had seen there all season.

Magic night - let's hope we can repeat it on Sunday

Weren't we all in the clock end ?

Superb. The pinicle of 3 brilliant away wins at top Premiership sides in the FA Cup in consecutive seasons

Really odd as after the game, travelling back through North London being applauded by Spuds fans, didn't you feel slightly done with the Tony Kelly free kick being ruled out so Martin Keowen could be sent off for encroaching! 4-1 would have sounded even better.

And I had his ticket for that match in the 'clock' end. Probably the only Bolton fan in that end that night.

We were all in the clock end that night DW, you must mean the " North Bank"

Sorry - North Bank

Surrounded by the shandy-drinkers anyway.

Would you rather win at Highbury this Sunday, or in the league match to come?

rather win sunday as it would set up a really good chance of making history and getting back to Wembley in the first game again in its new state. If you look at the league run-in it's not a matter of what we do away at Chelsea, Arsenal or Filth, it's how we do in the home games, all of which are winnable by any standards, and away at relegation fodder Watford, Wigan and West Ham.

twas the only big cup game i ever missed in that era. I was at a exhibition in Vegas. twas surreal as i had arranged to nip back to hotel room phone a Burnley fan at 10:30pm (4:30pm) local time. I then proceeded to get heavily intoxicated but the trouble was nobody else knew what the f??ck I was on about.

Bingley whites had a video with this and the liverpool game on, the full hgihlights so about 20 mins each.

fcuk knows where it is now.

'they have turned one end of highbury into burnden park'

Went on a minibus from Rumworth on Deane Rd, what a cracking day & night that was. Bolton fans smashed the boozer as they were leaving for kick-off in Highbury & one of them decided to rob the guy at the buger van outside the ground too.

We got inside and my mates uncle got on the pitch after the first goal & managed to blag his way back in (luckily, we were 14 & stuck in the middle of some reet dodgy Bowton fans). Atmosphere was deafening that night, and I was gutted that TK's goal didn't stand, 4-1 would have been even better. I remember Kevin Campbell being utter sh??te that night.

Outside the arsenal fans were bitter as f??ck, driving past shouting 'you won't beat the Villa', proved what they f??cking knew

I went to this one!

Would you rather win at Highbury this Sunday, or in the league match to come?

Is it not at the Emirates?
