hate to say it but the ref got most desicions right. apart from the first penalty.

i was very proud of how the team reacted to a superb arsenal first half, yes we rode our luck but it was a great game.

the commentators can not resist the cheap digs at bolton but towrads the end were giving us credit for how we played.

their second goal was top quality.

one of those days, as a bolton fan am used to seeing us lose but still feeling proud, these days we do nt lose as much as we used to but the feeling of pride is just the same.

i hope no one feels the need to pick holes in individual perfromances as the TEAM played well, arsenal were just better on the night.

hate to say this but good luck to them hope they get to the final and play united or chelsea.

Fantastic game and (I hate to say it) but they did deserve to go through. The pace in that Arse team is amazing and I must say that Meite and Tal Ben showed some real class for most of the game and Tal's sending off was because the ref had no option.

But the best part of the game for me was Campo's "You can't blame me for trying" smile when he was booked for diving. Classic.

A great FA cup tie.

Sorry but just read what the beeb have written:

"A succession of passes and flicks ended with Adebayor firing in a 15-yard shot that took a crucial deflection off Stelios to beat Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The rest of the opening half - apart from the closing minutes - was an Arsenal master-class in passing, movement and individual brilliance.

Baptista just failed to connect with Gael Clichy's cross, then shot wastefully wide from another inviting cross from Rosicky.

Bolton almost bounced back from being outclassed with an equaliser three minutes before half-time, Stelios hitting the bar from only eight yards out. "

Did they watch the same game as me? If it was a master class the blind donkeys would have scored about five in the first half. And we were NOT outclassed. They were better than us at times, but NEVER outclassed.

Arsenal will probably walk away looking worse after their horrendous misses, there was one manager smiling at the full time whistle, and that was Sam - joking with Pat Rice.

Campo is not a right back.

i could raise some issues with the ref, but i think your post says all that needs saying

proud to be a wanderer

Nail on the head Cassie and Ani. After the red mist disappeared and ranting over, very proud tonight!

*But have you ever seen a referee get more in the way of the ball in a game???

If Nicky Hunt had played anything like Ivan Campo did tonight, he would have been lynched

positivity only on this thread, please :D

Just got back from the game, spent 1 hour on the overspill carpark as we were a bit late getting there. Watched most of the game at the ground, then went to scotts for extra time.

Very pleased with how we played tonight, but in the same way I used to be pleased when we got relegated in the first season we played in the premier league.

If Davies had been fit do you think we would have played the same way?

Please dont get me wrong, that was a cracking game, the best we have seen at the Reebok for a long time, but would you not rather have seen us do our usual job on the Arse?

BTW No-Balls, Blackley is a wonderful place.

I take it you didn't notice some top class Campo passing and distribution then? Agreed, he hasn't got the pace for a full back, but he didn't do a bad job as an emergency stop gap for two hours against some bloody quick Arsenal wingers.

He was a weak link.

Had some alright spells and then fecked up...quite a few times!

Where are these positive thoughts?

No, if Davies had been fit we wouldn't have played the same way, and would have stood a better chance of winning playing to our usual strengths. But it was a pleasure to watch how well we passed the ball around at times tonight; if we played like that against the Charltons / Fulhams of this world, we would murder them. How about if we do the usual stuff against the better footballing teams (like Arse) but pass the weaker teams off the park occasionally? Don't get me wrong, I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty, but if we had played on Sunday against Fulham like we did tonight, we would have stuffed them. Let's mix it up a bit more.

Anyway, cracking game, fair enough result in the end, nothing to be ashamed of, move on and beat the Spuds at their little bit of the third world in Norf Laanden in a couple of weeks, as usual.

BTW Blackley, if you had just got in at 12.47, it must have been one hell of a journey from my car to your front door, as I was back home in Leeds at 1.00 o'clock!

Where are these positive thoughts?

Theres a good few of them, (meite, TBH, diouf, teymourian..) just more from Arsenals point of view (toure, clichy, denilson, diaby, hleb, ljunberg, aliadere). Arsenal player very well, and actually physically challenged Bolton for once.

they said it was a masterclass in passing and moving, not shooting

and it was pretty impressive, including the build up to their goal

they p??ssed on us in the first half, in terms of passing and moving

but not shooting

Rightio, there's a few threads on here about last night. I was there and my take is this:

Arsenal deserved to win. They were quality - in particular Hleb, Clichy and Rosicky.

However, I'm not sure about this out-classing thing. At half time they seemed to be a yard quicker, in their minds and physically. But, they were a goal up when they started knocking it around really well and they didn't finish us of so what exactly was the point?

Their chances came from when we were chasing the game and leaving gaps at the back, but how many chances did we have - we hit the post, hit the bar, Almunia tipped one wide, Stelios dallied when 1-on-1, Anelka's volley over the bar etc.

I dunno what was commentated on TV, but I thought we gave them a real go - I know they were without Henry and Fabregas, but consider this - our players that were missing - Davies, Faye and even Hunt are arguably more important and more of a loss as we don't have the same quality replacements that they have...

Their players and supporters seemed extremely relieved after the game - it was like they's won the cup, which sums alot up for me. I think we can say we have finally arrived, in terms of getting the begrudging respect we've deserved for a couple of years now.

I thoroughly enjoyed the match and I'm not sure the ref did an awful lot wrong - I thought the linesmen were worse.

And whoever said we need a full ground for a good atmosphere - a decent away following and a reason for the crowd to get passionate was all it took last night.

The future is bright ladies and gentlemen...

I watched most of the first half of extra time in the ground, the went to Scott's for the second period.

Cock.

fookin spot on jules

People were proud of our performance? While I've witnessed far worse I thought we were bobbins. If Arsenal had converted their penalties and put away their open goals we'd have lost at least 6-1. And they rested several key players.

The defence was a shambles. Ben Haim reminded me of a Sunday League player the way he just had to dive in for everything. Gardner is crap, let's just accept it. Campo at right back? Bring back Nicky.

The simple fact is we are a one man team. Without Davies we simply don't look like scoring. Diouf had a lot of the ball and did nothing with it. Anelka couldn't be arsed. And Stelios is past it. And don't get me started on Vaz Te. I keep expecting Jeremy Beadle to jump out and say it was all a joke.

Shambles. Another year without a trophy.
