Iseem to remember away at Blackburn he was doin exactly the same thing White Army obviously doeasnt watch the same game as many others on here Newcastle away he looked determinded to take everyone on and win the game himself! Fantastic player and worth way more than 12 mil to the wanderers. to want to get rid of him is just sheer madness!
White79 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 It would be mad to sell Anelka full stop. However if someone does come in for him it better be quick as we'd have our work cut out finding any sort of replacement.
White79 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Is there any reason Anelka isn't in the team for todays game?
Traf Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 He doesn't play lower league friendlies. He's playing on Wednesday instead.
trotter58 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 From the BN: PHIL Gartside has been assured by West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson that the Hammers have not "tapped up" star striker Nicolas Anelka. Following reports that the London club were to make a ?12million bid for the France international, the Wanderers chief confronted his counterpart earlier this week. It was alleged that Monaco-based agent Mike Morris was brokering a deal which would see Anelka join Alan Curbishley's big-spending side. But perhaps more worryingly, the reports claimed Morris was acting without the necessary permission to do so, under FIFA regulations. But after a conversation with the Icelandic multi-millionaire, Gartside claims his fears were eased. "I had a conversation with Eggert and he has assured me there is nothing untoward," Gartside said. "He has given me a personal assurance that he and his club are not involved in anything like that and i have a fax in my pocket to prove it. There has been no bid for Nicolas, and Nicolas has told me he wants to stay." Morris, who was recently implicated in the Quest Report into football irregularities, also denied any involvement. "I have no idea what they are talking about," he said. "I am not involved in any attempt to take players to any clubs without a mandate. I have no mandate for Nicolas Anelka so I am not involved in trying to take him anywhere."
Carlos Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 "I had a conversation with Eggert and he has assured me there is nothing untoward," Gartside said. Didn't Biscuitboy tell the Premier League exactly the same story?
