I was only commenting on your post that I quoted, I don't know what you have posted elsewhere. It just seems anti Sammy Lee.

I agree with the general sentiment of desert that we should give Lee time, and he has a good a chance as anyone to make a success at Bolton, considering the turmoil that we are in regarding player's attitudes.

I'm not anti-Sammy Lee, however I'm not going to blindly support him like some people will. What I've seen so far is very, very worrying, you just can't get away from that. It's pointless claiming he'll come good, we just don't know that.

We are just going to have to agree to disagree mate.

What I have seen is very encouraging and I think we should blindly support him loud and proud. He is giving 100% for BWFC

i think tomorrow may be very revealing

we were pathetic last saturday

appeared - from highlights - to be much better on wednesday

but then fulham aren't as good a team as newcastle

tomorrow is a proper test

while the result is all that matters, i need to at least see a promising performance, or absolute shite and a scabby 1-0

Isn't that the point of being a football supporter? Particularly as it's so early in the season and Sammy's Mgt.

If we all reserved judgement before showing support for our players, manager, club etc we'd get nowhere - surely it's part and parcel of being a supporter to get behind the Manager and players at indifferent times like this?*

* I'd have more of a point if I was going today, but you know what I mean :D

Not really...

Not for the boss anyway. He is the one putting his neck on the line changing our tactics.

I think he's wrong to do it. So while I hope he's right - I too won't 'blindly' support him and will state when I disagree with what he does...

You can disagree with his tactics and support him; they're not mutually exclusive. I think he got the Newcastle game wrong but for the moment he has my full backing.

I may feel differently in December.

3 1 defeat by pompy, any more smarmie comments directed at me? We are going down

simply - we will not go down

the only bit of positivity is sunderland derby and brum look poor, we have to modify our formation double quick as even with 3 poor teams we are likely ro struggle to stay up playing 4-4-2.

We are just going to have to agree to disagree mate.

I'm sorry, but what exactly have you seen that is very encouraging?

They are for me, when the tactics are so blatantly failing and everybody knew they would too. It smacks of arrogance or at best complete naivety.

I'd just love someone, anyone, to say 'for f?cks sake Sammy, can the defence have a little bit of cover please' - because I'm not sure he understands it's missing.

When Nolan after the Newcastle game said 'they played like us last year' I wondered at the time whether it signalled his discontent with Lee's tactics. I'm becoming more convinced by every game it did. If true, that's awful, we are doomed if the players don't believe in LSL.

I'd love to support him and I like SOME aspects of what he's done but he'll never be a decent manager if he continues to neglect the basics.

He still has my full backing but I too am very concerned.

My main concerns are the lack of defenders who can play football (something he inherited in part but has added to).

The other, which is 100% down to Sammy is the playing of people out of position. That is either very poor tactical nouse, or stupidity

We dont need defenders to play football we need defenders who can stop the opposition scoring goals, a formation change will help.

By 'play football' I didn't mean the silky football, i meant actually pass, tackle and run. The basics for any brand of football

I'm sorry but the best I can think of is: get fucked. How on earth can you say that?

Have you been involved in a BWFC training session or teamtalk?

now no one take this to seriously but i think this is a must for the reading game

We?re going down with united

Down with united

we?re going down with united ??? :yahoo:

simply - we will not go down

And you get to this assumption from where?

Are Derby, Brum, and Sunderland gonna take pity on us?

We got outclassed by the bar codes who then backed that up with being 2nd best to Villa!!!

Got beat at Fulham who had give their all at Arsenal then got beat with Boro!!!

Got beat with a makeshift Pompey side!!

But on the positive side Little Sam found some positives!!

And to say we're going down when it's August is a serious assumption too.

In fact I'll take any bets on it ala Jay and Ian: I say we'll stay up, who fancies it...

Name me a good team that doesn't use a holding midfielder - THAT'S the basics mate.

If you don't recognise that, there's no hope for you. Same goes for Lee.

He can teamtalk and train all he f?cking likes, the only thing that matters is the 90 minutes on the pitch.
