i may get abused for this but thinking about it carefully does anyone else get the feeling the board are holding off for paul jewell when his 6mt restraint wigan put on him expires?? Although i think little sam has not done a bad job over the summer in keeping anelka and bringing in squad players I don?t think he is up to the premiership ive seen better managers fail at this level and I don?t want to go down with him.

What are you basing this on??? Do you get many of these feelings??

As for Sammy Lee he has had 4 games in full control. I'll judge him when he's had 10-12 games in charge.

Sammy lees record. 4 games, 4 losses, 10 goals conceded. We wont beat pompey or reading. Big changes needed asap. Also the 4 teams that beat us were dogshit last season and all finished well below us. I will take j bet rite now with anyone we go down. The hi life is over

Got some directions you may need:

TRAVELLING

TO OLD TRAFFORD

Travel onto the M60 by the most appropriate route and then leave at the nearest junction to you. Select from Junctions 7, 9 and 12 as follows:

Junction 7, recommended route from Clockwise M60 (increasing junction numbers). Leave the Motorway at Junction 7 to join the A56 Manchester bound. Remain on the A56 following the signs for Manchester United. Turn left into Sir Matt Busby Way. Car parking is on the right in front of the stadium.

Junction 9, recommended route from Anti-Clockwise M60 (decreasing junction numbers). Leave the M60 at Junction 9 and join Parkway (A5081) towards Trafford Park. At the first island take the 3rd exit onto Village Way and remain on this road until the next island (controlled by traffic lights). At this island take the second exit and then join Wharfside Way. Turn right at the junction with Sir Matt Busby Way, car parking is on the left in front of the stadium.

TSO I will bet you ?100 we do not go down.

You got yourself a bet mate. Whos gonna hold the cash? And why take the long way to old trafford spider?

Are you Manu you?

Seriously, stop being such a negative vibe merchant. Can you not talk about beating up the opposition instead, it's more your thing?

What are you basing this on??? Do you get many of these feelings??

1993: Begins his coaching career as reserve-team boss at Liverpool under former Reds team-mate Graeme Souness.

1999: Appointed first-team coach by new Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier.

2001: Joins Sven Goran Eriksson's England coaching staff,

2005: June - Renews his involvement in the club game by becoming Sam Allardyce's assistant manager at Bolton, following the departure of Allardyce's previous number two Phil Brown to Derby.

2006: August - Offered the full-time England Under-21 coaching job by new senior manager Steve McClaren, but declines in order to concentrate on his role at Bolton. November - Takes temporary charge of the under-21 team for a friendly against Holland with Peter Taylor unavailable for the match due to club commitments.

2007: April 30 - Appointed Bolton manager in succession to Sam Allardyce, who resigned the previous day after seven and a half years in charge

tell me where in this it says this man is good enough to manage a top half premiership club. and this is not just because weve not had a win in 4 its been a bad choice from the start as i said i think hes done well over the summer but he cant cut it in the prem.

as for paul jewell that is just speculation im not going do what some do and say i heard it from my mates aunts vet. i do believe that lee will not be in charge by chrismas and i can just see jewell as his replacement but he cant manage another prem club till october.

ps Fester - are you the Shaun who rang into BBC Radio Manchester last night demanding the instant sacking of Gartside and Lee? What a total 2@ he was!

no it wasn't me, won't fone shit like that up.

and what has jewell got on his cv to justify appointing him

wiggin nearly dropped last year, despite whelans pots of cash

I'll flip it on its head, where does it say he isn't good enough? You are basing your opinion on 4 games. Opinion and FACT aren't the same thing, some people have difficulty grasping this.

In the long run you may be right, but for now its just f?cking stupid to say he isn't good enough.

Sammy Lee was asked if he had a message for the BWFC supporters last night. Hhis response was 'Stick with us'. The bloke inherited a struggling team at the back end of last season. He had a paper-thin squad with our best defender on the way out. He's trying to introduce a new style of play, bring in new players and sort out some massive egos behind the scenes. The last thing he needs are the supporters jumping on his back after two whole games! Some of you are beginning to sound like West Ham fans!

is anyone stopping Jewell from managing?

I think he told Whelan he wanted a six month break and quit

seems for once he meant it

but as far as I'm aware there is nothing to stop him from managing

ps: there was nothing to suggest Alladyce could manage a top half prem team when he took over

or Hughes at Blackburn

or Coppell at Reading

or Moyes at Everton

or Jol at Spurs

this is presuming that one of your criteria for managing a top half Premier League side is having already managed a top half premier league side, if not, what are you looking for?

Like on Saturday when they'd all had us going down by 4.45pm even though a great minority wouldn't even know how we played in the second half as they're f?cked off. FFS, I despair, I really do. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to say I'm a fan after the behaviour of some.

i believe wigan have some sort of hold on him taking a job at a premiership club within them 6mt. compo to wigan or something to the effect.

when alladyce took over he wasnt taken on to manage a top half premiership team we where a failing first division team. big sams first season, correct me if im wrong, he dragged us, some how, into the playoffs and to the last 4 of both cups he was given the managers role at bolton after guiding notts county to the title with 99points. that says he was good enough to manage in the first division the rest he did for us was because he was the best manager bolton have had in 50 years and could adjust to the task in hand.

what i want in a manager is someone with form and who has proven them selves at a decent level and not been a side kick all his managing career

I think we have to stick with sammy lee, for me any further unsettling of the club/players will be disastrous, last night we played some good stuff without getting any breaks, the fans and the club have to put on a united front any talk of sacking lee will only be counter productive.

i do believe that lee will not be in charge by chrismas and i can just see jewell as his replacement but he cant manage another prem club till october.

And remind us all again how well Paul Jewell did last season?

David O'Leary?

I am off on hols after today but will be seeing Brixton, I will give it him if that is ok.

I am so confident that if we finish 15th, 16th or 17th I will put the winnings behind a bar of your choice and celebrate with a few :drinks: !!.

I am sure if we are in a relagation scrap you will be more bothered about us staying up and will want to be celebrating not worrying about a few quid !

We could even invite Smiths and the Bear !
