i actually feel sorry for sammy lee, he had a big job to replace the fat judas, but i personally don't think he's the right man for the job,

i also think gartside should leave bolton, he's more interested slagging fat judas off than keeping/bringing quality players in.

his quote of saying sammy lee is better than sam allardyce was just f***** stupid,

i'll be the 1st to say gartside out.

I don't feel sorry for sammy lee. Just remember he took on the assistants role on the proviso that he would be offered the managers job once Sam got the offer he couldn't refuse ... Who the fck does he think he is !!!

You talk utter ragging shite!

I don't feel sorry for sammy lee. Just remember he took on the assistants role on the proviso that he would be offered the managers job once Sam got the offer he couldn't refuse ... Who the fck does he think he is !!!

Are you on wobbly eggs or what?

"Who the fcuk does he think he is !!!" - Well I will tell you, he is the manager of Bolton Wanderers FC. He had the burning ambition to manage a premiership football club and that is what he is now, you can't blame him for that!

his quote of saying sammy lee is better than sam allardyce was just f***** stupid

What exactly was he supposed to say, "the fat fcuk who lied to me was a top manager and Sammy isn't in the same league really but we will have to stick with him and see how it goes!"

I'm not saying that all will be well and we will qualify for Europe or anything stupid like that but for fucks sake how can people start saying shite like this after 2 games is totally beyond me. If it's the same after 10 games and we've not improved much then fair enough but it's far far too soon to be committing hari-kari just yet!

he could have kept a dignified silence, like most people would have done,

i will back sammy lee,but i don't think he's the right man for the job,

gartside is just a cock, let him go to the f.a.

I couldn't agree more with that

Mr Whinchester, point taken, I can't blame him for that. What we both should remember is that when he actually said that he was not the manager of Bolton Wanderers. If after the 10 games we are midtable I will take that negativity back. The good thing about forums like this are that they give me and others who are worried about the general direction we appear to be moving in a chance to air our natural feelings. In 1980 when I and many others knew we were about to slide down the leagues we didn't then have any vehicle to release our emotions. Now we have ! When we were in division 4 in 1987, at away games people used to say to me, "How the fck did we end up here ?" Phil Neal was the answer. His teammate, Sammy Lee, could well be the answer to our prospective future ..

well said

It could be worse we could be Tottenham!

FFS it's 2 games now theres only another 36 to go how are we ever going to recover!

Get a grip you miserable bastards!

I cannot see us going down, however sammy needs to change the midfield, again too slow in passing the ball, too slow generally. I don't believe playing McGann, Nolan and Speed works, as you need a mobile midfield in this league. Granted the defence has looked a bit weak so far, but when you are under constant attack, with midfield a couple yards behind the attackers, i'm not surprised. I still believe sammy will come good, but time is a luxury you cannot have in this league.

I am still blaming the boards lack of ambition and vision with signings (for which i have been slated for). It still looks to me as they think we can survive by buying other clubs rejects, and the younger lads who have been brought in are going to take time to settle, will this be enough? Only 12 more days till tranfer deadline....roll on portsmouth

how many games have we won this year ?

Sammy Lee has my backing. PG doesn't. Think he's a knob who has let his ego take over.

From the highlights last night, we were unlucky. Had the chances, Warner made 2 good saves.

Goals conceded where shockers as usual. Think Helguson was at fault for their first, trying too hard unfortunately to win that header in defence, when I think Speed (?) was better positioned to head it away from goal. Second goal was highlighted by Alan Hansen on MOTD - we left Smirtin unmarked on edge of box - and then the wicked deflection.

108 easy points left- ok its a shit start, as mentioned on other threads we usually get d#cked at fulham, regardless of how we play. newcastle was never going to be easy and neither will pompey- sammy hopefully will see flaws and rectify them. too early for me to say were doomed

it isnt looking good

quantity in players rather than quality IMO

O Brien replacement for faye, sign of things to come i think

Can't be arsed finding the thread, but a few weeks ago Gartside was the best thing since sliced bread on here, now it's all his fault.

BWFC fans thrive on scapegoats - it'll be Nicky Hunt's fault next, then the Academy team's physio, then finally Lofty's.

Alright so it's not a great start, but don't panic. I'd hate to be in the trenches with some of you lot.

BWFC fans thrive on scapegoats

So do all other teams fans - when things aren't going to plan.

Too early to panic, let's give little Sam a chance eh?

Cant believe some of the SHITE im reading on here this morning!!

2 games in - 2 games lost. Not a good start no but how was a transition from long ball to playing a bit of football going to happen smoothly? No chance! Give it a little time. Didn't manage to make it to London last night but from what I saw we had some decent chances and they had 2 or 3 chances.

The luck will change, the team will settle. We will be fine this year. Give L'il Sam a chance

Hate to say this and I am not being a doom & gloom merchant merely pointing something out. Relegated teams are always unlucky with nothing going their way and no rub of the green. Here's hpoing therefore that our luck changes pretty God damn soon.

2 games in!!! If we lost two or three games on the trot in December like we were under FSA people wouldn't be talking relegation

presumably because we wouldn't be on zero points, people will always be nervous until we et some points on the board

Which takes us back to '2 games in FFS!'. There are other teams with zero points as well. I wonder if they are considering suicide?

I agree Bolty but on the other hand LSL is now 4 games into his managerial career without a win...

...and we have the grand total of 18 points in 2007.

Yes I know FSA was the manager for a lot of those games but LSL was his number 2.

I agree it is too early to panic but these first 2 games of this season should not be looked at in isolation. The bigger picture is not pretty.

ps Fester - are you the Shaun who rang into BBC Radio Manchester last night demanding the instant sacking of Gartside and Lee? What a total 2@ he was!

discount last season, it's irrelevant

City have only scored 3 goals at home all year you know

but they're 2nd with 100% record, nuts

i may get abused for this but thinking about it carefully does anyone else get the feeling the board are holding off for paul jewell when his 6mt restraint wigan put on him expires?? Although i think little sam has not done a bad job over the summer in keeping anelka and bringing in squad players I don?t think he is up to the premiership ive seen better managers fail at this level and I don?t want to go down with him.

Not entirely his fault - but he is a knob. He gets involved with the media too much and should have avoided the tit-for-tat argument with Allardyce. We lost, PG ended up looking a right tw@t. Everyone knows that Lil Sam isn't our first choice manager (Big Sam was). Gartside should just get on with finding new investment and securing the services of our top players.
