if where going to look at last season lets look at the last few as well jewell got wigan from the old second division to the premiership. in the first season in the prem they finished 10th and got to the final of the league cup. wigan had a bad season last season but survived. what he did in previous seasons proves he has ability. so again what has little sam done in his managerial career to prove he has fight and form to keep us up and keep us as a top 8 side??

How can he have a managerial career if no-one ever gives him a chance and before anyone says that he should learn his trade in the lower leagues, what makes you think that he would be better prepared for the Prem by doing that?

As for spurs and Man U being down there with us, they both have a better chance of climbing to safety long before we can. Lee aint brought in all those players to sit on a bench, one by one Allardyces players will be sold off, if not this window, January one also, then the end of the season comes, more goes.

There's speculation about Anelka and Diouf but there is ALWAYS speculation about Anelka and Diouf. They attract attention.

i had a look on betfair the back end of last season when lsl was first appointed and we was 25/1 to go down ill be gutted i missed that if it happens

It makes me sick how you are all so quick to criticise - the fact is that we are only 2 games into the season - give the guy a chance. If anyone can and will do well by Bolton Wanderers, it is Sammy Lee! He has got plenty of time left to prove himself as a Manager....after all, we did well in the Peace Cup did we not and we performed well in the pre-season fixtures. I was only commenting on your post that I quoted, I don't know what you have posted elsewhere. It just seems anti Sammy Lee.

I agree with the general sentiment of desert that we should give Lee time, and he has a good a chance as anyone to make a success at Bolton, considering the turmoil that we are in regarding player's attitudes.

I'm not anti-Sammy Lee, however I'm not going to blindly support him like some people will. What I've seen so far is very, very worrying, you just can't get away from that. It's pointless claiming he'll come good, we just don't know that.
