Very Important!

Lads, I wanna tell u a few things u must pay attention during your stay in Belgrade.

1. Crvena Zvezda fans dont care if u r friendly or not. they see u as english and they will want a fight with u. they see u as a ticket to their glory. they will want to have beaten english fans!!

2. Never walk alone. even if u r dressed like a local u can be easily recognized bcoz of your english look. when u walk, walk in group.

3. Dont go far from your hotel. Belgrade is not Skopje, its far from a safe place for visitor fans. I dont want to be misunderstood. Belgrade is open for tourists from everywhere, but bcoz of the Cvezda - Bolton match english tourist r very unwelcome at the moment.

4. On the stadium, behave good and listen what the police tells u to do. in Belgrade, the police force will be your best friend so dont lose that friendship!!!

5. Every hotel has a bar. bars inside the hotels will be the best place for u to have drink and have fun. clubs and bars outside your hotel will be dangerous for u. if r recognized in some bars, Zvezda fans will need only 5-10 to call more people, gather and attack u. if a fight occurs in a bar, its very likely that the police will protect the serbs instead of u.

6. Crvena Zvezda is more bigger and more famous club than Rabotnicki. it has lots of fans, so even if u come in like 5000 Bolton fans they will still be lot more than u.

I opened this topic coz yesterday I had a chat with our member RED_STAR_BELGRADE and he asked me if I could tell u this bcoz he wants u to be safe in his city.

I understand you completely. But in Belgrade you will be the away fans and right from the start that will be enough for the sparks. Same as you, Zvezda's ultras drink a lot before the match and they walk go around the city singing their songs. All I wanted to say is that there will be no need for provocation for 10 half drunk Zvezda fans to attack a small group of away fans in Bolton's shirts who'll be peacefully walking around in Belgrade. That day in Belgrade you will be supporting the team that will play against their team and that's the only reason they need.

But this is not just the case in Belgrade. As I read here, those things happened before to you in England and the same will happen in Bolton to guys wearing Munich or Blackburn shirts so there's no need for you to be so shocked and angry now

Now i aint an advocate of knocking fcuk out of somebody just because of a football game but this is where us and those backward cowardly cunts differ, it's all good and well when the odds are in their favour......different story when they're not because they wouldn't want to know. Don't believe the hype

just out of interest, do you know anything about how official club trips work eg when Rangers played there? The standard form has been an early flight out and most of the day having a laugh in town before the game and straight back afterwards. Not done one like that before myself, but may have to this time. Now the question is how would this work in the light of security issues on the day I wonder? Would they just arrive late-on after a late flight out and so go straight to the game or are there ways of having secure areas where they could have a drink etc. Or maybe no one-day trips, only ones with a night in a hotel?

At the risk of repeating myself

Belgrade will be no worse than watching the Wanderers in the 80's

Anybody who isn't traveling due personal safety issues needs to reassess their lives

Looking forward to it more than Munich

I was only thinking the other day how Red Star Belgrade was just like going to Port Vale :pardon:

But yes, I'm looking forward to it more than Munich too.

So, when we are beaten up, we can console ourselves that we are"considerably richer than yeow". At least we can afford to drink in hotels!

In which case you are fully entitled to keep your gob open

What would have been an utter travesty was if you were one of the many who aren't attending who voice their opinion on the negative side

Good lad

rsb - looking at the empty seats in our ground you'd see i wasn't altogether serious

From my assessment

The ground is approx 5km out of town

As to how far the hotels are away, I think that's a secret but mines slap bang in the centre where one can stagger home without the need of a taxi, if you think I'm posting the name of it on here you have another thing coming, our boys are all UNION officials

Ha

Say that in Serbian then
