really?????how he can do that!!!maybe he have problems with life and dont play good and you dont speak good for him and because he do that!!!no metter!!!!

we go little far from the topic!!!!

I will explain.

The reason some fans would call him Judas or dislike him is that he decided to leave Bolton to join a bigger club with more fans and bigger wages. We actually made a lot of money from the sale to Aston Villa, we sold him for about 4.5million pounds if I remember rightly. I can't remember what we paid for him.

Personally I didn't have anything against him for leaving even though I liked him as a player for us. He had quite a lot of critics when he played for Bolton, saying that he kept the ball too long before passing it(greedy), but he was so skillful that he could beat 2 or 3 players at a time.

I remember watching him in a pre-season friendly in Scotland just before he left us. He was by far the man of the match, I remember some Jocks sat near us asking who the hell was that player that was running rings round them. On one occasion he beat 4 or 5 players in midfield and smashed the shot against the crossbar with the keeper nowhere in a Maradonna Stylee.

Zozzy,

My memory must be a little bit better than yours! :p

We paid ?1m for him and as you pointed out: sold him for ?4.5m: good business.

That friendly was against Queen of the South at Palmerston Park, Dumfries, where indeed he did run rings round them.

Anyway, back to the point:

Will it be safe for me to walk around Belgrade wearing Prada and playing with my iPhone or not?

You wouldn't be safe mincing around Bolton in Prada playing with an iPhone.

Thanks for clearing that up Traf, I remember now.

I'm not much of a statto when it comes to these details.

Something as just come back to me about this Queen of the South match though. At half-time we went down the Stands into their supporters club bar. I went back to my seat for the second half with a bottle of beer in my hand. I thought because it was such a small crowd that nobody would bother, but a young copper came up to me to escort me out of the ground. He took me down the steps to the turnstiles and told me to put the beer down and f*ck off back to my seat.

I was sat with Ferny that day RIP.

I also remember us playing at Hampden Park in the same pre-season tour. I have an equally interesting story :::::::lol::::::: about this match, but you can have too much excitement in one night

EDIT: sorry for going Off Topic :(

Plus we aren't Partizan fans after our experience with the Serbian Judas - Sasa Curcic.

Sasa was quality - all players at some point will be a judas, you must enjoy them while you can and Sasa was a joy.

Zoz, are you sure the Queens Park game at Hampden was the same tour?

I went to both but I thought they were different years.

Perhaps one of the stattos will clear that up.

PS Wasn't the hampden game Greg Strong's debut?

They weren't on the same tour.Queens Park was in July 1995,Queen of the South was in July 1996.
george, I admit that I am not in the same league as you when it comes to statto-ness but I would say the Queens Park match was July 1994.

Does anyone know what date Sasa left us? I know this won't prove anything about the Scottish matches, just curious

Port Vale was the first game of the season. Sasa left us on the Wed or Thu of that week. We played Vale on Saturday with Frandsen and Thompson in midfield and we didn't really miss Sasa at all.

Sasa made the right choice, but as always, went about it the wrong way. He didn't deserve to be playing in the 2nd tier. Kinkladze made that fatal error and his career spiralled downwards. Sasa opted to try his hand at Villa - and then his career spiralled. But he wasn't to know. If he'd stayed at Bolton, we would have built a team around him and probably would NOT have won promotion with 100 goals and 98 points.

As for Belgrade. If I go wandering the streets at 4am looking for a cheese pie, will I be safe?
