Our League Position

We have had our problems this year and having just played arsenal and chelsea you would expect us to be cast adrift athe bottom yet we are still only 3-4 points from being out of the bottom 3, I think there are enough bad teams in the for us to get out of this predicament.

I totally agree with that. The bottom half of the league is full of piss-poor teams which is why there's only three or four points between us at the bottom and teams in mid-table! It's nowhere near as difficult to stay up now as it used to be. Fulham could only draw at home to Derby and yet still moved up five places!I don't think that we'll need anywhere near 40 points.

Ah, perspective.

Mid-table and winning the UEFA in Manchester would represent an excellent season!

Don't want to p*** on anyone's party but I've just watched Wet Spam against Sunderland. Depressing to see how much quicker & more mobile Sunderland are than we are.

We have better players, but which new manager can get winning performaces out of them ...... that's the question.

I thought both West Ham and Sunderland were piss poor. And them cockney bastards have spent millions.

i still cant believe that your team play so poor and you have only 5 points!!!

Bolton have players who are better than Derby,Sunderland,Wigan,Reading,Fulham...I cant understand your players they cost every 5 milion ich!!!!

that is terrible 10 games 5 points!!

you can't beleive it!

13th have 8 points. 20th (us) have 5 points.

One win and we will climb the table.

2 wins and we'll be talking of Champions League football again.

I disagree. As things stand I think it's a toss up between us and Derby for worst team. Take away Anelka from our best 11 and it's a pretty poor team indeed. I hate to be a doom & gloom merchant but unless the new manager suddenly introduces 3 or 3 very good players I think we are for the drop.

After only two posts from you, I have arrived at the conclusion that you are a t1t. Utter fooking boll0cks comparing us and Derby as the worst team in the EPL. We outplayed Chelsea and unluckily lost; same v Spurs and only drew; performed well at Arsenal IMO; absolutely robbed at home to the blue bindippers - need I go on?

We are a far better side than our current league position and our results suggest and better than at least 6 or 7 teams in the EPL and I believe that our final league placing will reflect that.

Now - '3 or 3 very good players' ? Let's have three then eh? Where the fook is that head banging smiley when you need it?

We deserve to be bottom.

We've managed one league win all season.

We'll be fighting relegation all season.

And, if that wasn't enough, Gartside may well sign his own resignation letter by appointing some two-bob manager (I can see this happening)

Thank f?ck we're in Europe this season :drinks:

17th place will do me at the end of this transitional season.

That's as long as we reach the UEFA cup final and win the league cup so we get in UEFA again next year.

FFS why dont you bring us all down. where in a scrap its not the first time and probably wont be the last. i personally thought it was a much better performance against arsenal, a few glimpses of what bolton have been about the last few seasons. i think now that lee's gone the squad can move on because The BSA era is now well and truely over.

Silly me ! Hadn't noticed the final score ....

Did you watch the game ? Did they not look better than we currently are ? And what will we do at West Ham then on current form, or at home to Sunderland come to that ?

My point was that if our current "several teams worse than us" group are currently looking better than us, then we're in deeper sh*t than we thought.

you can not compare two teams from 1 game against another team from another game.

your arguement holds absolutely no water.

they said on MOTD2 and i agree with them that relegation for is playing well and not winng and championship form is being rubbish and winning

at the end of the day id rather have anelka up front than any other striker in and around us. Kenwyne jones scored a very good goal but missed 2 or 3 better chances, thats the crux and BSA said it for years that a vital part of the team is the striker who'll get 15-20 goals a season.

The sad thing is - I just can't see us beating anyone at the moment.

I'm not confident for the Villa game, and we've f?cked it on our 'easier' away games already this term.

It's gonna be a long, long season <_<

All teams have winning runs in a season. Ours will come. Just get behind them. I am confident we are too good to be releagted and, therefore, won't be.

if we had dominated a game and created the chances they did and got beat 3-1 i would be worried.

all that possesion and they still let 3 goals in.

i like sunderland and would nt mind them staying up with us, but they will finish below us.

Got to take your hat off to Bolty, for being one of the more optimistic posters on here, and that optimism can be infectious - Just a shame he's 6,000 miles away and can't show his support at the Reebok every week ::::::lol::::::

You're allowed one crap quarter of a season and we've just had ours. The next 10 games will be the key; they're the last 10 games of 2007 and if we head into the New Year on any sort of a high then the first half a dozen games of 2008 can easily yield many points: Derby(h), Dingles (h), Toon (a), Fulham (h), Reading (a), Pompey (h). Even if we've only got ourselves to 20pts off 20 games by the time that sequence starts - as long as the new guy has bedded in and we've done summat in the transfer window then with that start to the New Year we'll be reet. Midtable, some great UEFA experiences and a bit of a Cup run. Job's a good 'un.

BUT key to getting to that stage at New Year will be the next three games. Home to Villa, away to Hammers, home to Boro. VITAL we get significant points from them games. If we end up with just 2 points from them then we really are playing catch-up.

aye, but if he had to go every week like us poor sods he'd be pissed off as well :D ::::::lol::::::
