Penalty.........

Do I need a eye test? When I saw it Michalik moved his upper arm towards the ball, thus hitting his upper arm and chest at the same time. But even if I'm correct, and that replay doesn't prove me right, this was a harsh decision. More like ball to hand/arm the way it was pinged across.

But having said that Michalik went through the customary 'you've got it wrong ref' protest but he didn't kick up the sort of fuss an innocent man shoud have.

Seen it on TV, that was a fcuking outrageous decision. The ref is meant to be the best in the league :::::::lol:::::::

i reccomend underpants goes to specsavers

You have to consider that the ball was hit at such speed he couldn't move his arm towards it deliberatly, even if he wanted to, his arms weren't raised and the ball travelled such a distance to suggest it hit his chest.

TV proves it wasn't near his arm, all the evidence pointed to this anyway.

Another shameless night of officials performance. he was a T8*t from start till after the penalty when he knew damm well it was a wrong decision. Typical anti bolton ref.

Thing is we played great with heart. lets get behind Megson and we`ll give em another 6-0 in a couple of weeks. Fook iam mad.

Last word. SHAME ON ALL YOU BOLTON CITY FANS THERE TONIGHT. Come back all the good support from the last few years and we will bring back the good times!

Am i dreaming??

Am i dreaming??

yeh, we've never had "good support"

to be fair to Webb, for the penalty anyway, he looked embarresed giving it. The w@nker linesmen gave it cause 5 thou City drug dealers told him to

When have you ever seen a 4th official come and tell a linesman he got a decision wrong?

The decision was completely out of context with the game and ruined an evenly fought contest. Bolton at that point were definitely edging it and looking the more likely to score. I was totally flabbergasted and sick to the stomach when I realised he'd given it.

If City are top 6 material, then we really should have nothing to fear. We played with great heart and spirit last night. And but for 2 injuries, I think we'd have used our subs to better use. I think Alonso should have come off with about 20 minutes to go and possibly McCann for Braaten and Campo.

I actually didn't mind AOB at right back - looks like a more solid defence with Michalik alongside Meite and Gardner (not JLS) at left back.

Christ, if we didnt have bad luck we'd have no luck at all. Its only th'rumbellows, concentrate on the league etc etc etc...

Complaining about the ref again - we're doing it every week now. We didn't get the decisions yet again, but it's not the refs fault we can't find the onion bag.

The fact is that our forward line are shockingly bad in front of goal, we're already struggling with a goalscorer in the team.

Ooooooh it's gonna be a long season <_<

never a penalty in my unbiased opinion, but our support wasntas good as being fcking shite - just downright embarrassing. a mob of 200? under the scoreboard! Should we just shut up shop and turn the lights out??

Someone seemed to have that idea about 7 30 last night!

cheer up ya miserable sod! :good:

with a propper forward on last night we could've won easily.

we played well so i dont want to whinge too much but what was wrong with giving Harsanyi or Obadaye a run out last night feck all to lose and a chance to prove them selves.

The ref is meant to be in control though. If he was doubtful about the pen, he should have discussed it with the lino & not given it unless the lino could prove 100% it was a nailed-on pen.

The ref might not have had the best view of where the ball hit the defender, but he could see how hard the ball was hit & how close the defender was. That alone should have told him a penalty was a doubtful decision at best.

But, as someone else said, City are flying and they had 5000 fans behind that goal. Makes the ref's decision dead easy, eh.

Webb was the one giving cards out willy nilly though as a result of that terrible decision. He wasn't embarrased about that.

It's not the refs fault that we're too sh?t to score a goal

Turns our the linesman, Mo Matador, is a lower league Barry Knight who has been upsetting fans for fun. He's Asian, which seems to explain why he got the game, he's a token Asian rather than a competent official.

Beaten by the PC Brigade. I blame Crawley and Mick Brown.

He's Asian,

that fact was very clearly pointed out to him by a bloke close to me last night

stood right next a steward, the tirade was "you f*cking cheating black p*ki bastard"

I decided to move before a case of mistaken identity could take place!

Well you've got to give the adbuls and women a chance, I suppose.

Never mind if they're useless - it's only Bolton after all.

Is there a link to this alledged handball???????????

FFS! get real the last 2 games have, for me, been a massive improvement but for the ref in both games we would have got something out of them. i think come christmas we'll be out of the shit and on the up.

or we could be dead it the water

We seem to have a more solid base since megson came in, I have a feeling sunday could well be the turning point of our season.

I am one of the biggest critics of officials, but the biggest crime on Sunday was the way that 3 of our players completely switched off and walked towards the ball with heads down

ref got it right and linesman wrong - I saw the ref had given it them, as did the villa players. had our guys been awake they would have too and we would have won 1-0

I've not seen a massive improvement - if you remember rightly, we were playing good stuff uder Lee and were rolling out the excuses then. The fact is that if your forwards aren't scoring - you're not going to win.

It's the players fault if they lose the game - blaming the referee is an easy option that Liverpool/Man Utd do coz they won't admit defeat.

Aye he's from Blackburn. My mate who is a member of Chorley Referees Associations knows him quite well.

Before the decision he said he's destined to ref in the Premiership and he's being promoted on merit.

Nice fella too apparently

Well I sit in the west lower and was directly behind the Lino when it hit Michalik, and I thought it was nailed-on penalty just like, i assume, the 'assistant referee' did.

i didn't

looked a ridiculous decision to me

ive asked the kids for their opinion

'he's an idiot' they said
