BWFC = Priceless Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Squad: Jaaskelainen, Michalik, A O'Brien, Gardner, Guthrie, Nolan, Speed, Alonso, Davies, Al Habsi, Samuel, Teymourian, Braaten, Stelios, McCann, Cid, Sinclair, Sissons. Happy with this under the circumstances. Means that Sinclair looks like he is at right back! Jussi Sinclair Michalik A'Obrien Gardner Speed McCann Alonso (But hopefully either guthrie or andriek) Diouf Davies Nolan

HomerJay Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 i think stelios must play now, if only for his valuable european experience.

pete harry Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 A very sad day for the club. The first time we got into the UEFA we put a weak team out for a few games, a real kick in the teeth for the fans who travel but also for all fans who watched as the club battled to get qualification. Last year, we sweated on the last day and celebrated when we made it to Europe. We play for a 0-0 at home to a massive club Braga, and now put out the reserves in Munich. Why bother to try and qualify for Europe only to treat it like a joke. I know many will point to the importance of Sunday, but why even give a damn about staying up if this is the limit to the ambition. It means that the future of the club has no goal. I hope to God that we don't get a thrashing from Klose etc. This would be a huge blow to morale. BWFC are now a club who only have one aim, and that is to keep in business. All other aims of trophies are gone. Of course nobody is saying we would win the UEFA, but you have to at least try. We should have resigned from the competition and saved the airfare. I think the only reason we are playing the reserves is because of injuries, not because we have already thrown the towel in.
TotalBelief2024 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Yeah maybe, still disapppointing. Still, if we can win the last 2 group games we can get through. COME ON YOU WHITES

bolty58 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 what a total nonsensical arguement. Homer, tell me you didn't expect anything else.
HomerJay Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 aye spose, dont even know why i replied to be honest.
morphus77 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Yeah maybe, still disapppointing. Of course it is dissapointing but I dont think you can blame the club or anyone at the club specifically. Maybe the sports science team? Or the ticket office?
chrisw99 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 any news on actual lineup yet? SQUAD:Jaaskelainen, Michalik, A O'Brien, Gardner, Guthrie, Nolan, Speed, Alonso, Davies, Al Habsi, Samuel, Teymourian, Braaten, Stelios, McCann, Cid, Sinclair, Sissons. My choice: Jussi A O'Brien, Michalik, Cid, Gardner Stelios, Nolan, Guthrie, Andranik, Braaten Davies I feel today will be Stelios's day if he plays, it's the kind of match he revels in
MickyD Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Or in other words, pick out 11 players, 1xgoalkeeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2x forwards and call them a POSSIBLE STARTING LINE-UP FOR THURSDAY. Here's mine then: GK Ali Al-Habsi RB Mikalik CB Meite CB A O'Brien LB Jlloyd Samuel RM Stelios CM Nolan CM Guthrie CM Speed LM Gardner ST Davies See, I don't have any inside info on probable starting line-ups but mine's no weaker than yours but with a different system. Call me the winner then.
jayjayoghani Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Meite was back peddling. He stopped the ball going through to an unmarked West Ham player - cant remember who it was. Was just pointing out that a 'top-class' keeper would have made that initial ball his. Jussi - fantastic shot-stopper - world class keeper - not in a million years. Thing is if Hunt had made a mistake like this - this board would have been full of it. Why not give Al Habsi a chance (or Walker for that matter) - they will still be here in January. I admire Jussi for the loyalty he has shown to the club and for that he deserves enormous credit. He is a reasonable keeper - but he has this achilles heel called 'crosses in the 6-yard box' - oh and kicking. A load of horsesh?t.

bolty58 Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 [/b]think i've managed to highlight all the bullsh*t, but apologies if not Makes it worse in fooking bold! Definitely Natashas replacement at the very least. The Welsh should stop typing bullsh*t and get some fooking coal up. We can all sing when we've got fook all to do.
