Guest william bear Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 (edited) I'm still not sure but I think that Red Star-Bolton match could be non-event one- our police has the duty to care about any foreign football fan and they often overreact in their care! When we travel back from Greece (I don't know did I send you a report from Thesaloniki? It was crazy downthere!) serbian police who escorted us when we cross macedonian-serbin border informed us that they had a huge operations for keeping foreign fans (doesn't matter if they are families from Poland, christmas trees from Bayern Munich, bascetball fans from Bologna or Croats or Rangers or Bolton!) out of any trouble with domestic fans! When Rangers played in Belgrade their fans were under police protection even in their smaller groups when they changed the bars&pubs in the city center! It was crazy to see 5 Rangers lad who drank cupple of pints in one pub with 3 riot policemen infront of that pub and when they moved to another pub- police followed tham. After the match police keep visitor fans for 2-3h inside the stadium and block the motorway to escort tham to the airport! So I'm sure that similar would be with Bolton fans- some of tham will come at day before the match, their hotels has the duty to inform the police about their coming, police will however be at the airport, when Bolton go to drink in the evening police will follow tham, at the matchday they will drink in one bar-again with riot police in huge numbers, they would probably have the bus from the city center to the stadium- and nothing could hapen exept throwing the stones towards the buses. That's the scenario for the police operation- I hope I'm wrong but unfortunatelly they took the business about the visitors too seriously! Also, yesterday there were massive riots on Red Star-Hajduk Kula match, some undercover police officers tried to arrest few Red Star youngsters but they were spotted and heavily beaten (and burned by flares)- one of tham shoot twice on the terrace in attempt to rescue himself. After that a lot of riot police came into the terrace and the fight with tham started. Here you can see some photos http://srpskatribina.net/forum/viewtopic.p...954&start=0 Our stupid police sent few plain clothes copes into the group!?! It's suicide! I think they wanted to provoke our reaction because todays newspapers are full of reports that Red Star hooligans broke the arms of the cop and burned him- so in next few days I expect some arrests and heavy fines because they have now the reason why to fight against organized ultra groups in Serbia. That also could be a reason for us to don't give a fcuk about Bolton and to keep all of our force for the police. However I'll inform you what's going on here. If you can, please provide me some info's about Bolton- how many of tham we have to expect, maybe our smaller groups could try something hehe Edited December 3, 2007 by william bear

JumboMkd Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I'm rubbish computers. Will one of the geeks on here post maps with big arrows on it for the idiots like me Ta When you get to the center you'll find/ask the "Knjaz Mihajlova" street - the main walking/shopping area in the center of Belgrade. You see the street here on the map "Kneza Mihajla". Also on the map you'll see the 2 suggested by TMG locations for your movement and meeting in Belgrade befoer the match. "Trg Republike" is the Republic Square and the upper area just above the Kneza Mihajla is the "Kalemegan Fortress"

JumboMkd Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 They wont care who you are, they fight anyone I think you're wrong. Zvezda's fans will fight the ultras group (like the Italians). English supporters will not be attacked in the center of Belgrade unless they provoke. The only place that I'm affraid of for them is the area around the ground before the match where the fans gather and drink. That's the place where away fans will be attacked with no reason

I was trying to say that Delije won't care who they fight, Fulham, Bolton, Chelsea, Millwall etc. Not that they just attack innocent's which I have already said they won't unless provoked.
