New Singing Stand - New Songs

We've got what we've been craving for. A singing stand. Now we all need some new songs apart from the good old 'We are the one and only Wanderers'. Lets also get some unique player songs going too.

Here's one to annoy the away contingent...

HE PLAYES ON THE LEFT

HE PLAYS ON THE RIIIIIIIIIGHT

THAT BOY EL-HADJI MAKES 'OPPOSITION' LOOK SHIIIITE!

Apologies to appear as if banging on, however one works during the day......

I have full respect for any serviceman or woman and given your experience I should imagine you understand that code more than most. So getting back to the subject matter of this discussion, and to try & bring some closure to it, the Munich thing should be respected as a mark to the men that died, not the club they happened to play for at the time.

In my opinion.

it's your opinion and your entitled to it fella.

Funny, but not very PC is it.......

when I was young

I said no, I don't think so

cos I want to go and join the Bolton aggro

2003 has got it right though.

just as a one-off homage to the past, the entire ground should sing "you're gonna get your fuckin heads kicked in" and then shower the away fans with bricks. just imagine. we'd be famous :pardon:

I have to say, though, the best and loudest chant I ever heard at Burnden was on a few occasions in the late 70s when ALL the packed Paddock did "when the whites go marching in" and the clapping resonated with the stand and the whole fookin thing oscillated - still sends shivers down me spine thinking about it

ya start to laugh

i dont know why

coz after the match

ya gonna die

always scared the shit out of me when i was a nipper

we all agree Franky Worthy is magic

PS- I hope you've got a massive flag with your username in ENORMOUS letters written on it, it would wind the reds up very nicely when we visit Old Trafford :::::lol:::::

Come and have a go at the Bolton aggro

Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough

Across the pitch...Across the pitch

Come and have a go at the Bolton aggro

Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough

Across the pitch...Across the pitch

Don't know why R but that just caused a flashback! There were about 20 nutters used to stand half way up t'Burnden Paddock in line with the half way line in the Armfield era who used to sing this to that awful Welsh tune 'Men of Harlech'. I'd forgotten about it until now.

First you'll see Roy Greavo soaring,

Then you'll see John Byrom scoring,

Then you'll hear all Bolton roaring,

Byrom is our king.

From the stands rebounding,

Hear the war cry sounding,

Summon all at Armfields call,

the half way line surrounding.

Half way liners tell the story,

Of the Bolton Wanderers glory,

With these burning words before ye,

Byrom is our king!

Who remembers that one then?

Then brought into the 21st century:

First you'll see El Hajii spitting,

Then you'll hear us sing while sitting,

Orange war-riors are hitting,

anyone who stands.

From the stands ejected,

Wasn't what's expected,

Off we go, to sing solo,

The atmosphere's affected.

Hard-core people stop attending,

though their support was once unbending,

Football as we knew is ending,

since the TVs came!

Then brought into the 21st century:

First you'll see El Hajii spitting,

Then you'll hear us sing while sitting,

Orange war-riors are hitting,

anyone who stands.

From the stands ejected,

Wasn't what's expected,

Off we go, to sing solo,

The atmosphere's affected.

Hard-core people stop attending,

though their support was once unbending,

Football as we knew is ending,

since the TVs came!

oh good god

i'm getting awful visions :good:

oh good god

i'm getting awful visions :good:

I won't be asking HW to print the words on the back of his latest flyers; promise! :pardon:

oh mi lads youve seen us on the tele

we only hate the coppers cause they killed jimmy kelly

munich are the bastards

city are the runners

we all went down to highbury

to kill the cockney gunners

 Brilliant. Topical and up with the times. Just to keep things in perspective, them half way liners used to also sing possibly the worst Bolton song I have ever heard. To the monotonous dirge called 'Death In The Sea' by Van Der Graf Generator, they sang "Wanderers, Wanderers, Bolton-Bolton, Wanderers, Wanderers". Used to make my sh1t itch. Fooking awful racket. Ian, if you're out there reading this, I will never forgive you for that one. Still can't get it out of my head 35 years later
