Matt Taylor......

Featured Replies

wouldn't score if the opposition give him the ball to roll it into an open net.

Should of had another 2 toneet!

I think we a seriously going to rue the missed chances tonight.

He'd probably score from 25 yards but from 6 yards...... shockin'

He had a good game, though. That said, many plaers did.

THIS IS NOT OVER

thought taylor looked tired after 20 minutes,i also thought he was was poor tonight, but not as bad as gardner

Good Game????

Taylor was terrible. Very slow, control none existant.

Other than 2 excellent long passes, he was awful.

The passing of him and Ricardo at times was shocking.

think matt taylor had an alright game, many times he bombed down the line to look for a counter attack, but never got the ball.

Losing patience with this lad.

?5m for an attacking midfielder that keeps missing from 6 yards.

He went missing for long periods last night, looks slow and overweight to me.

Taylor had hardly played any 1st team football this season and he's been flung into a relegation dogfight and European games - it's little wonder the lad looks knackered.

He's one of the players I would be resting from time to time.

He will prove to be a good'un.

I have had enough of Taylor - how can a player , who is supposed to be an attacking midfield player, keep missing so many chances.

I think Dunster is being kind saying he should have had 2:

I can recall the miss from the loose ball after the assult on Helgusson, the shot straight at the keeper from his jinxed spot in the centre of the 6 yard box at the North Stand end and then the awful control in the last few minutes when clean through at the back post. On top of that he had 2 shots from outside the area that used to be his trade mark goal but both went well wide.

Time for a rest me thinks so we can accomodate Davies, Helgusson and Diouf.

Yawn

But Taylor's best position has never been as part of a forward / front three

He has missed chances but to chastise the lad for the not even half chance after Helgusson was clattered is just daft - how many players would've scored that from there FFS.

Not seen any reply but it looked like the ball broke to him on his favoured left foot about 25 yards out with an open goal at his mercy. Now call me a nit picker but a player of his supposed quality should be putting these kind chances away.

If he aint scoring these opportunites and he aint knocking in glorous chances inside the 6 yard box, and he is looking unfit and off the pace after 20 minutes of a game - can you please explain exactly what he is contributing at the moment.

I am sick of hearing that he will come good, he will be a good un, once he gets one he'll get loads etc etc! In our position we can't keep waiting for this to happen. As I have said elsewhere this morning, a front three or Davies, Helgusson and Diouf offers a better threat for the remaining games of the season.

Just my opinion like

It's worth mentioning that he has a really fat arse also.

Suppose you've missed the headers he wins - the tracking and tackling that he does too?

He's a midfielder not a goalscorer.

Folk see clips of players doing wonderful things and believe they do that all the time!

He gives 100% effort but has not the required quality for this level

Another championship player

Bollocks.

I don't think he's a bad player at all, just very frustrating.

But, I'm amazed that anyone can miss soooooo many sitters, he's cost us league points with his 3 yard misses in the past and he STILL can't put the ball in the f?cking onion bag

The rumours must be true....he has to be a bender....maybe sticking a naked arse in the goal will help him 'shoot' more accurately.

HE IS SHIT A WASTE OF MONEY. I WAS GLAD WHEN WE SIGNED HIM BUT WHAT A LET DOWN HE HAS BEEN.

Cant be arsed reading all the previous posts, so if its already been said i apologise. When he gets one he'll get a dozen (maybe not in the same game or this season). Just needs the first. Give him time. Agree he may need a rest, Give the ice man a start against the pie eaters. Let him and Davo kick their balls!

I hope yer right and i am wrong, we have no more time to give him, what he had now ten games or so.

I am getting deja vu regarding Taylor's search for a first goal with Mr Anelka's long wait for a first Premiership goal. I just hope you are correct Mr Rat that the flood gates will open for him too once he gets the first.

Lads got a good touch and as many keep saying "is getting into the right positions". You cant teach players how to "get into the right positions", its natural instict (see McGinlay, Walker etc). Trust me (i mean him) he will come good.

Yours Sincerely

Matt Taylors Dad

Agreed, he's been fairly unlucky so far, coupled with some pure rank bad finishing - never a good combination.

Matty will come good - eventually.
