I ain't got a Scooby Doo what all that means. However, the reason I've not got either is the small amount of memory. 8gb is nob all.

Version 2 of the iPhone is due out in June.

Might be worth holding on for it.

As for video - there are already bits and pieces out on the web which enable video on the iPhone

Can you ring people up on it ?

Can you ring people up on it ?

no, why would you want to do that when it has a camera, media player and some dead good games pre-loaded

Only if you have friends to ring. Rules you out :good:

im confused as to what is good about an iphone or why anyone would want one?

Hence my original question.

im confused as to what is good about an iphone or why anyone would want one?

I had a look at them too but with already owning an iPod and a laptop I just thought, what's the point.

s'pose its a case of having one cos they are trendy.

why drive a Merc when a Ford will do a similar job.

or get a mac when a pc pisses all over it

eh, eh?

im confused as to what is good about an iphone or why anyone would want one?

Having had one and since getting rid of it I can't say i recommend anyone to get one, especially at the silly price o2 are banging them out at.

Yes it looks good, has some clever stuff inside it. But it doesn't do the job of a phone particularly well. I've since got myself a new mobile and a ipod nano. The nano has as much memory as the iPhone and is tiny in comparison.

I just got sent a new blackberry 8110 and its wank.

It does everything apart from brew up. It even has satnav.

But can I drive it?

Qwerty keyboad, tiny keys, things that happen voluntarily........its not for me and needs to go back.

  • 2 months later...

new iPhone is out mid July and there are business tariffs also.

think I may have to invest.

I've got the nokia n82 and i can do nothing but recommend it.

looked good until I saw that multi-coloured flag in the top corner..... pah!

I have an O2 Stellar (HTC Kaiser) which is a Windows mobile phone

Big memory, takes micro SD card for expansion, built in GPS for SatNav, WIFI, office compatible s/ware for Excel/Word/Powerpoint listen to music, rip DVD's for it, GPRS/3G for speed, etc etc

Substance over style as opposed to style over substance

Could be biased though, as I also develop Windows Mobile s/ware ::::lol::::

Apart from battery life, screen size, features and the fact that Nokia phones are a steaming pile of Pap.

On the other hand, even with the new iPhone, there are still key features missing. Although I own an iPod Touch, the thing that lets the iPhone down for me is the size of the thing.

go on then

Well i have done my mentioning it.
