Put it away Traf. I have an Aussie mate down here (big racing man - has his own website) who has run two organisations in my time down here.

 

The first was NUJ (No Union Jack) which I delighted in telling the daft f?cker that there wasn't one on the Australian flag in the first place. The second one was MOFA (Make Our Flag Australian) which had the same aims but went more for some green and gold abortion with some sort of useless Aboriginal symbols. Apart from this strange obsession, he is actually a top geezer and classes himself as a BWFC fan now. Reckons some bastud brainwashed him Believe it or not, he loves 'Who's that climbing up the hill boys' and gets teary eyed when I am p1ssed enough to be persuaded to belt it out on occasion. 'Very moving' - his words, not mine (I don't think he refers to my singing )

 

Anyhow, if we are together in Melbourne with folk from the racing industry (usually at the Crown Casino on Derby day eve), once we are all well oiled it doesn't take Mick long to get on to his change the flag soapbox. I get him every time with 'Yes, folks. Mick and I agree on changing the Aussie flag. He wants to get rid of the Union Flag and I want to get rid of that ugly fecking blue bit with the stars'.
