I took my 7 year old son over to Dublin a few months after that match, went in to a pub with a tricoler flying over the boozer, ordered a pint and a soft drink, and the redfaced Oirish barman slammed the drinks down so hard on the bar, i thought they were going to smash. red ginger.

So do you think it was OK for England fans to do the Nazi salute that day? Not saying you do, but lots of my family died in WW2.

You don't seem a bad lad

Just asking, like?

Semi Final of the Coca Cola. Drove up from London that night for that game too, without a ticket for the sold out game. Managed to get one for the re-arranged game however.

Luton away in the cup, 01(?). Crewe away the season before. AFAIK the only postponed game at the Reebok was a cup game v Cardiff. Oh and Boro over Christmas a couple of years ago. So make that 2.

Stockport,about 6ish due to rain,

they are all "flooding" back now,did you see what

i did there. ;)

I rememeber a cup match at Burnden in the late 70s, got to Burnden about 12.30 there were hundreds of cardiff fans already there, the game was called off, but I cannot remember what for.

I went on a Max Carter jaunt, got picked up on the Greyhound island, and bailed out in the nearest pub, got left, rough for the stragglers that night.

Port Vale about 10 years ago.

Mini bus landed about 10 to 3 thinking where the fcuk is everyone.

Ended up going on a sesh in Wilmslow instead much to the bemusement and delight of the stuck up bastrd locals.

Why oh why do people lke you have to start saying things like this, it was a football match brimming with hatred and all sorts of things get done and said, get over yourself and stop being so self righteous

Pretty sure there was an FA Cup game away called off coz of snow, 88/89ish. 3rd/4th round I think. Was on my way to the train station to go when I heard it was off. Can't be arsed to search who it was - any ideas?

Crewe away.........went to that chippy across the road anyway.

Chesterfield (A) I'm sure it was snowed off.

We were in a van and the wipers stopped working in a blizzard, so the lunatic lad in the passenger seat kept leaning out of the window to brush the snow away with a broom whilst the driver did about 80 in the snow.

Happy Days.

The Hereford away was a Shrews v Plymuff, the Derby away was a Lids v Massive, and the scunnie at home was a Massive v Villa. What you did then to watch a live league game.

I stood in the Arsenal end at Old trafford in 86/87 the day our away match at Darlington was called off.Arsenal were in a long unbeaten run and it ended to a poor Man Utd team.

did you buy a programme though?

Birmingham away a couple of years ago due to fog. Got to the roundabout 2 minutes from the ground and was told it was off so we turned round and came straight back home.

Kept my ticket for the rearranged fixture over 6 months later and it was one of the worst performances of recent times, not even a shot on goal.
