From what i've seen of the lad he looks a good addition, certainly as a squad player. IMO he's a better player than Meite and we won't have the same problems with commitment that were thrown at Meite.

 

Am sure people will disagree with me, but just because Meite has played for L'OM and for the Ivory Coast it doesn't make him a good player

I would be very suprised if it was ?4M, but with the way transfer fees are going anything is possible I suppose. Anyway, I'm pleased we've got him, again we've signed somebody without the big "song and dance" that usually accompanied any transfer targets that BSA had.

Rangers agreed a ?1.5m fee a while back but couldn't agree personal terms. I doubt his price would go from 1.5 to 4 in 2 weeks. I'm guessing the whole deal is worth about ?2m prob including performance + appearance related clauses. There is still now over 3 weeks left in the transfer window so hopefully Megson can add another midfielder + a striker and we'll have a good starting 11 + good back-up options

We should have offered them Meite and a couple of million for Carlos Cuellar now that they're out of Europe.

I think for the money, if the guy can cover a couple of positions then he'll be a good backup for us.
