In fairness though, Watford are in the market for a forward after letting Darius whatshisface go, so it would make sense.

I'd have him back in a shot, Faye conducting himself well before, during and after his move to Newcastle.

 

As the midefield destroyer, he'd give the team a very solid basis to build upon.

My source is from Watford fans (i know they are really a source but it wouldn't surprise me if the deal was true) We aren't really gonna play Helgusson over Elmander, Davies, Riga. He's always injured. Waford are looking for a new striker and he is a big fans favourite. If we got him off the wage bill (i doubt he's on much but it must still be a decent salary) then that would leave space for a new striker (unless Megson is planning on using Obadeyi and Woolfe as he has done in pre-season) It would seem to be a decent deal all round as we would save on giving them cash and giving them a player who is injured 90% of the time

I've just seen on SSN a feature talking about lower league clubs and how they aren't able anymore to get the loan signings that they used to due to the Prem change of allowing 7 subs instead on 5. I think this season that Bolton might use this new feature to put one or maybe 2 young players on the bench as they have the luxury of being able to do so. I agree that Obadeyi and Wollfe aren't yet good enough (maybe they never will be!?) but i can see one or both featuring on the bench this season a few times and if we are in a winning/comfortable position (big if i know) then Meggo might bring them on a give them some experience. I'm sure that if Heidur goes whether it be Watford (permanently or on loan) or somewhere else then Meggo will bring in decent cover/replacement but i still feel that with the new 7 subs system that more youngsters (not just at Bolton but other clubs) will appear on the bench

I don't know much about Shittu, but I do about Meite. Meite isn't a very good footballer, and so needs to be shipped out once a replacement is found. If Megsons opinion is that Shittu is better than Meite, then I will be happy to take his player knowledge over yours.
