Davies up front on his own, same as last year really - I would expect that Shittu will be in for Cahill, and Riga in for Taylor. The rest of the team will sort of pick itself....................unless some wonder signing appears in the next few days (Bullard, Harper or Doyle)

Gardner was one of the better performers on tuesday but there was no ballance what so ever, it seemed like one of these inter changing midfields to me which can also be seen as a we dont know what role were playing midfields!

 

On Saturday i would also be a little cautious of who in our team can compete in a physical battle!

In which case Riga Gardner and JOB shouldnt be in the same midfield and i would encourage both full backs to get forward so...

Well we needed at least 1 striker before the transfer window ends but if Elmander is out for a month we will need 2.

"Nine or ten months ago, when I came in, we were bottom of the table with five points from ten games and that tells its own story.

And the club is stuck with an extra striker on the wage bill who won't play once Elmander is fit. We aren't chelsea and can't have 2 teams. I'm sure we'll get another striker and he'll be competing with Elmander once he's fit.

But this is about what team we put out on Saturday based on the players we have available, not based on the players who we'd have if injuries didn't happen, we'd made more signings and people lived for ever.
