Wayne Bridge wouldn't come to Bolton in a million years, and we also wouldn't fork out the ?8M he will no doubt cost as well, or indeed match the ?50K wages he is probably on

also we need an attacking midfield that i feel would oust Mccann as much as i like mccann i carnt see Megson drop Nolan or Muamba so he is the one from out startin 11 that would make way. as to who it is we would sign or are intrested in i got no idea. TBH i think megson has done ok with his buys so i will put my trust in him.

TBH i wouldnt mind sol campbell at bolton, he wont come mind and wages will be to big anyway.

Cahill will have to keep it tight at the back if Campbell signs.

Heard were after some young CB from Sheff Wed called Mark Beevers, only 19 but supposed to be a cracker!

Beevers is a good un and heard his name mentioned in a few of the rags.

 

Young Centrehalf could be a good buy... then a midfielder with pace.

Spot on Zico.

 

Why change the way we play at the moment? Why replace Mccann with a different type of player. We are playing well, looking good going forward and seem to have a good balance. It might only seem that way because we are on good form but it is working.

 

I think Davies should stay in the frame. He isn't playing as well as he has in the past but he has set himself high standards and opposing players are still terrified of him.

Current team is playing good enough to continue for now, but ........

 

Injuries, suspensions & loss-of-form will kick in sooner rather than later and we have no realistic quality cover for centre-back (Shittu ? Fojut ?) nor for the three centre-midfielders (JOB ? Cohen?) without shuffling other players around and disrupting the team. Cover for those areas is essential with such a small squad, and longer-term AOB and McCann will probably need to be replaced to move forward.

 

Quality signings for other positions should primarily be aiming at youth, pace & skill, though one or two quality experienced players for 2-3 years would usually help. Loans should be explored where possible.

 

I'll be surprised if we sign more than two players in January though - it's not an easy time of year.
