The pair of them put in as many tackles ,8 as the rest of the team put together.

Gary Cahill didnt make a single tackle all game.

basham is nowhere near ready, about 10 stone wet through, and not seen anything yet to convince me he will ever be, Fojut however would be a better bet.

Apart from they seem to rate Basham more than Fojut !!!

Well, in a funny sort of way!

The defence has been fine accept against the quality teams so there's no need to take AOB out for pompy, be a bloody stupid thing to do as we have no cover. As for Nolan, he had one bad game, recently he's been playing well (apart from not being able to shoot) so no need to change that either. Didn't think Taylor had a particularly good game, may be time to give Gardner a start.

We lost to a very good team

That's all, forget about it and move on to the next games, some winnable ones coming up to cement our place in mid-table

If we get four points from Pompy and Wigan we'll be in good shape for the new year.

We need six points from those games. Arsenal and United are the first league games in 2009 and we'll roll over against them. First winnable game in the New Year is the Dingles on the 28th.

Fojut's injured.

A centre back should be first priority in January, said it all season AOB is absolute shit and is a liability. The whole team looked poor defensively on saturday though but Villa will win a lot more than they will lose with some of the players they have, i thought they looked good.

nowt like a good solid exaggeration to get ya point across 1st thing on a monday hey?

I'll bet he's been good for us more often than he's been shit!

Fojut's injured.
You sure? He played for the reserves last week.

Don't think we're in a 'need points' scenario quite yet. I'll take a beating by both Red Cvnts if we don't lose against Wigan or Pompy and then a look to an 'easier' second half of the season for our 16+ points up to safety (or 26+ points to Europe)

Fojut's injured.

Regardless, I reckon if he was going to make the grade we'd have seen a bit more of him.

He's 21 now - Cahill's 22 (nearly 23, I know) and he's played over 100 games.
