Dioufy Wants To Come Back Home

Taken from Setanta Sports webby...

El Hadji Diouf has admitted he would like to return to Bolton Wanderers one day, after irritating Sunderland's supporters by clearly demonstrating his affection for the Wanderers fans.

Diouf has struggled to make an impact on Wearside after his summer switch and upset the Black Cats fans when continuing his love affair with the Trotters faithful after Sunderland were heavily beaten in Roy Keane's final game in charge.

Recalled to face his former club again on Saturday, Diouf produced an impressive performance in a 2-1 win in the FA Cup third round.

Nevertheless, he admitted afterwards that he still misses Bolton and has been linked with a reunion with Sam Allardyce at Blackburn Rovers.

"I'm waiting to see what happens next," declared Diouf. "Maybe I'll stay, we'll see.

"I need to find out Ricky [sbragia]'s plans for me. I don't know how important he thinks I am.

"If I am picked more, then why not stay? But if I'm not playing, then I'd want to go.

"I had a wonderful time at Bolton," he is quoted as saying The Sun. "I love the club.

"I have no regrets at leaving but, one day, why not come back to there?

"I miss The Reebok Stadium. I threw my shirt to the Bolton fans at the end because they still love me so much."

"I?m a very faithful person," he informed The Sunday Sun.

"If you help me, I will help you in return.

"Sunderland helped me by giving me the chance to play in The Premiership again and if they want to sign me, I will come.

?For the moment, I am here and I will wait and see whether the club wants to make a proposal, but it?s still early days."

i would only take him back on loan and with a guarantee that we would get 10 goals from him....

It would have to be on loan since he can't have two transfers in one season.

How did we get over that rule when Hamman decided he didn't like McDonalds?

you can, but you can't play for more than 2 clubs in a season

you can, but you can't play for more than 2 clubs in a season
Correct. You can be registered with three clubs in a season, but can only play for two.

would love him back but in todays market would we not have to pay more than we sold him for?

wouldn't pay a penny over what we got for him also would have thrown the sunderland top back at him

Correct. You can be registered with three clubs in a season, but can only play for two.

it aint happenng but us, them and us would only be 2 clubs

No Thanks

It's no from me. They never come back as good, and if things didn't go his way he'd be sulkier than Anelka with toothache.

He's not going anywhere - he'll stay at Sunderland at least until the end of the season. ITK.

People taking this seriously?

Diouf has ability but is totally ineffective for the majority of a season.

Think someone already pointed out that Taylor has been considerably more effective already.

And that's before we talk about the morale impact - didn't he piss off all the other players by declaring his intention to leave before the end of the season?

Fcuk him.

Not being a regular at Sunderland proves his true ability.

He's not going anywhere - he'll stay at Sunderland at least until the end of the season. ITK.

Indeed - he was off to Valencia on at least four occasions when he was with us. Sounds like the same nonsense...

He's not going anywhere - he'll stay at Sunderland at least until the end of the season. ITK.

There's a common denominator here. Bolton weren't having the best of seasons last year and oneofour star players, Diouffy, wants away. Sunderland aren't having the best of times this season and who's making noises about wanting away?

He's not going anywhere - he'll stay at Sunderland at least until the end of the season. ITK.

For those new on here, the use of ITK from certain posters on here actually does mean ITK rather than 'i've just read it on Newsnow'. If Hazzy has posted ITK then one of the mods might as well close this thread. :pardon:

rovers have bid 2m for diouf today
