Dioufy Wants To Come Back Home

Taken from Setanta Sports webby...

El Hadji Diouf has admitted he would like to return to Bolton Wanderers one day, after irritating Sunderland's supporters by clearly demonstrating his affection for the Wanderers fans.

Diouf has struggled to make an impact on Wearside after his summer switch and upset the Black Cats fans when continuing his love affair with the Trotters faithful after Sunderland were heavily beaten in Roy Keane's final game in charge.

Recalled to face his former club again on Saturday, Diouf produced an impressive performance in a 2-1 win in the FA Cup third round.

Nevertheless, he admitted afterwards that he still misses Bolton and has been linked with a reunion with Sam Allardyce at Blackburn Rovers.

"I'm waiting to see what happens next," declared Diouf. "Maybe I'll stay, we'll see.

"I need to find out Ricky [sbragia]'s plans for me. I don't know how important he thinks I am.

"If I am picked more, then why not stay? But if I'm not playing, then I'd want to go.

"I had a wonderful time at Bolton," he is quoted as saying The Sun. "I love the club.

"I have no regrets at leaving but, one day, why not come back to there?

"I miss The Reebok Stadium. I threw my shirt to the Bolton fans at the end because they still love me so much."

"I?m a very faithful person," he informed The Sunday Sun.

"If you help me, I will help you in return.

"Sunderland helped me by giving me the chance to play in The Premiership again and if they want to sign me, I will come.

?For the moment, I am here and I will wait and see whether the club wants to make a proposal, but it?s still early days."

No thanks.

If things are as bad as everybody says, and we are really in the relegation mire, then I don't think Diouf is the sort of player we should be signing.

Nein, danke.

Played his best football for us and would have only been gone less than half a season. Can't see Megson wanting him back more likely he'll go to the Dingles.

Would I have him back, we've a small squad & it needs improving so its a yes from me.

Indeed.

As it was in the middle of last season's struggle that he announced he was leaving.

Id have him back in a flash!!!

just offer him 10k less than he was on previously!

If the rumours about player unrest are true then getting one of the 'lads' back is not an option.

I don't think he likes Bolton Wanderers that much! - anybody who wants to employ him will no doubt have to offer him at least parity with what he gets now. I would imagine it'll be right up his street though, if we signed him, he could come in as "The Saviour" and be lorded even more than he is already, until he decides he can't be arsed

yes please for me

he could come in as "The Saviour" and be lorded even more than he is already

I reckon that's what he's thinking .

Hopefully, those that lord him will recall his comments, Traf referred to when we were in the do do last season.

'Laud' people, 'Laud' !

Yet another well spun story, no doubt from Mr Diouf's agent, to push him nearer to the exit door at Sunderland.

Unless he has taken English Citizenship since leaving us, Megson will not be interested in the slightest.

'Laud' people, 'Laud' !

Lord Diouf of Senegal nr Sunland

'Laud' people, 'Laud' !

She can't say it any lauder man, unless she types in capitals.

Yes

Yes please

Yes please

im going to tick the yes box as well.

Nay and thrice Nay.

He hast cast forth his bed and he who casteth it away from Ye Reekbok must now lie ineth his own shite.

In a heartbeat...crackin player.

For what it's worth, Diouf will only come back to Bolton under the following conditions.

1. Nobody else is interested in signing him, particularly Blackburn.

2. We haven't signed any creative players.

3. He costs less than we sold him for.

And I think Megson would be a fool to sign him, because it may look like a desperate attempt to get the fans onside.

Yes

Never. Taylor is miles better.

Never. Taylor is miles better.

It wasn't Taylor that I would replace, and it wasn't our ?8m+ striker. =@

And I think Megson would be a fool to sign him, because it may look like a desperate attempt to get the fans onside.

Conversely I think this is one reason that he would NOT be a fool.

I think Gary needs to swallow his personal pride and try to get some of the fans who dislike him onside! I think the more desperate he comes across is attempting this the better.

Stop all this "Water off a ducks back" and offer some embarrassed olive branches out to those who are still stinging at past mistakes.

We all need to pull together and it's made easier if the man at the helm loves us enough to buy who we want :)

What?

Signing a player just to appease the idiots doesn't make him a fool?

Of course it does.
