Megson has made a fatal mistake in slagging off his fans. He should have asked himself why did I go from hero to villain in 45 minutes? Instead of blaming himself he tried to make out that in some way it was the fault of the fans. After an excellent first half he decided to sit back as he always does. Blackburn were no better our players were not tired but because of his tactics he blew it! Every fan I spoke to could not understand why Nolan was brought back into the side or why he was kept on for the whole match when having an appalling game & openly arguing with Taylor after trying to blame him for something which was his own fault! Secondly he continues to overlook our only positive midfielder Gardner the one player who could have instantly removed the pressure off our defence. The final whistle saved us from another negative decision when at the death he tried to bring on Shittu & play 3 centre backs even though that particular move had just cost us 2 points against Man Utd!

He constantly undoes his good work with poor tactical decisions & team selection based on favouritism.

Bolton fans are pretty patient (compare with Liverpool & Benitez last night) so when things hit a low like last night the manager must realise there is something wrong and he is being paid to sort out .

Since when?

Im neither a fan or hater of Mr Megson, however I think this outcry from Megson will be his last. That is a parting shot in my eye!

And seriously (and I'm not referring to you Ani), if you're picky enough to criticise him because he didn't say the sentence "not all the fans", then you're a moron. Do you really need people to explain everything they say in a literal and highly detailed manner so that you understand it?

Go back, read what Megson said then stick your head in the oven. Switch it on first though.

I've already said, I supported him. I see the comments as utter frustration....but

He refers to the collective "fans" or "them" about 5 f?ckin times....

Its a PR disaster, however anyone wants to view it

I bet if you cut through Megson he'd have loser written all the way through him.

He reminds me of Gil out of the Simpsons. Perennial struggler. Think of how the top managers react to losing a 2-0 lead - instead Megson says the players were "tired" (FFS they didn't have a game at the weekend), and then moans (and it is a girly moan) about the fans. How about "it's unacceptable to be leading at 2-0 in a game against a side below us in the table, and lucky to end with a point, I'm sick and tired of conceding late goals and the players will be working on their fitness and attitude before the weekend's game against Spurs".

Unpopular from the start, there's a reason for that. Shafted Leicester when he left them, seemed to leave every club disliking him, dull football served up week after week, threw Europe and our dreams with it. I'm reasoned enough to know that he has brought in a couple of belters and that he will probably keep us up. Not going to fall out with anyone who wants to carry on giving him the chance, but I don't think I'll ever like the guy and the football he brings us.

wish was a loser with a million pound bank account.

What's the answer then?

Was last night the first time a team has ever been 2-0 up and ended up drawing? The way some of you lot are going on you might think so. We didn't even get beat ffs, away from home against a newly-inspired Blackburn team. It's thanks to our first half display that we had that 2 goal cushion. The way Blackburn came out in the second half, I think most teams outside the top 4 or 5 would have been lucky to come away with a draw.

Incredible how deluded and short-minded some people are. I notice not many of you have talked about the opposition, as if you've decided that Megson sent the team out with the intention of conceding.

best get saving up then

Ok, maybe I worded that wrong. I'm referring to those who were giving him torrents of abuse last night. Those are the idiots. To make it even more pathetic, they're now complaining about him defending himself.

MEGSONS COMMENTS ARE NOT DIRECTED AT EVERY SINGLE BOLTON FAN.

Firthy, With Megson in charge I do not think we will go down, I just do not see how his words will do anything positive for the club.

As I have posted elsewhere why not make this a rallying call to the fans ?

It just sounds to me like a bitter man complaining. In the tit for tat world for the playground alling someone names ar standing up to bullies may score you some points. By getting in the gutter with the moaners he has put himself at their level.

What type of oven? What temperature should I set it at? Can you clarify the number of times he made the reference. "About 5" isn't literal enough, I need a definite number. Can you confirm what you mean by PR? I think you mean Public Relations, but it could be Potato Rifle. You need to be literal about everything otherwise people might attack you because you don't write like you've got a built-in spelling and grammar checker.

He might not have thought through how he's responded but I can understand why he's bitten.

Ahh....lets bring out the old spelling and grammar chestnut.

I think you've missed the point of his post.

He's right, you totally missed my point.

I'll explain it again. Just because Mr Megson didn't say the specific sentence "I am not referring to every single fan", that doesn't mean he IS referring to every single fan. Human beings don't tend to speak like robots, it's generally accepted that you can summarise without being abused because you didn't explain things literally. Some people don't seem to comprehend the concept of literalism though so maybe you don't understand what I'm getting at.

Oi Megson, we want names and addresses.

He's right, you totally missed my point.

Do you think the interview is going to be for the good of the club ?

There are 2 groups on here

1. megson = mugson

2. megson is getting too much stick, we need to defend him whatever happens.

Do you think he could have handled this situation better ?

Of course he could have handled it better, but that doesn't mean he's handled it as badly as is being made out. It's just a few sentences about the abuse he's been getting, and suddenly everyones being hyper-critical of his use of the English language just because he didn't say the word "some". You know as well as I do that his comments are only directed at those idiots that sung the "wanker" song after asking him for a wave half an hour earlier.

He can't win no matter what he does or says anyway. He was getting abuse before he was even allocated a parking space at the training ground.

Most of that is nonsense, it?s not about him not saying "some" its about his saying it at all. Without the fans weather supportive or not the club wouldn't be there and for a manager to come out and basically say me and the players thinks the fans are dicks is insane and shows his lack of professionalism

I understand, so stop repeating the same thing to me for f?ck sake. I've already said I support him. I still believe he can progress us.

I was saying in the eyes of most bwfc supporters, they will interpret he's lumped them together as a bunch of f?ckwits who he and the players cannot stick.

Interpretations such as yours count for nowt, like it or lump it, his words will be taken as meant and he needs to say something, and quick.

Ridiculous argument. He has plainly, on a few occasions, criticised the 'fans' as a singular entity. It's as simple as that.

And he should stop, because taking this board as a barometer the majority still back him - just.

He's probably lost a few after his latest outburst though.

He'll never be popular but suggesting the players don't like the fans too probably makes the players think he's a c?ck... either way it doesn't help anyone.

His comments are the ramblings of a bitter man who knows he is fighting a losing battle.

Now i for one did not sing Megson is a wanker or whatever but on the radio

today he said he did not tell his players to sit back in the second half,

but to me that must be a lie, as there is no way that we could be so shite in the second

half after that first half performance.I know they say football is a game of to halves but fooook

me. Getting a little worried now myself but we wont go down.

listen boys and girls - we all know who those comments were directed at.

so why are you getting your knickers in a twist?

he's not labelling us all - he's having a public go at the mongtards who called him a w?nker.

good on him.

I don't believe he's tarring us all with the same brush.

however, I anticipate a backlash from the mongtards on Saturday now.

I think an urgent order of these will let GM know we're behind him.

GINGER WIGS

I find a lot of these comments quite perculiar. Everyone appears to be backing Megson now.

Who were these mysterious people from last night who were calling for his head and subjecting him to personal insults?

I for one didnt want him here, personally distrust him and dislike the guy with a passion.

I am unswerving in my belief that as a premier league manager he is imcompetent.

I want him out of my club as soon as possible.

PS. I couldnt care less what he thinks about me either.

Smiley, from where Megson was stood, I am told, that the noise and view made it seem like the whole away end was giving Megson stick.
