Had a quiet half hour at work today, so this lad I work with showed me a couple of sites he used to belong to, but left for obvious reasons.

 

One is The Rivals which had some reasonable debate, the other was called Wanderers Ways which if it hadn't been so funny it would have scared you to think these claim to be Bolton fans.

 

The forum seems to be run by moderators who encourage what is known as the Megson is God group to really lay into anyone who thinks that perhaps things could be going a little better at the Reebok. This group seems to be about 12 strong, not many actually, who jump on any typing or spelling mistake, actually highlighting it in large black type, unless of course it is one of them who errs.

 

They are extremely racist and of course all the usual disabled namecalling applies. A mini bus some of them use is known as the idiot bus- nuff said. All the usual suspects are on there who have recently been on here spewing out bile and hate messages. But guess who are their number one target?? Us, the fans.

 

Anyone who doesnt yell, scream and clap like a trained sea lion for 90 minutes is not a real fan. Most of them go on and on about bed sheets like it's something new. It is not unusual to read the following:-

Bizarre or scary. I was quite surprised to see I come in for some stick seeing as I have never been near their little forum till today. Not sure whether I shouldnt be flattered that I bother them so much. One of their posters, Mick someone who posted here recently then left just as quick had them wetting themselves by boasting he had told me to do the washing up.

 

I know we have our ups and downs on here, but at least we can usually have reasonable debates. This only changes when one of them decides to register and try to stir up trouble in a juvenile way. Luckily, most of the BN posters are a little more mature than to fall for the bait.

But for when Megson got sent off, the crowd was fine. Few of the idiots decided this deserved some jeering, but apart from that the mood was fairly positive and you could tell those that were more pro- than anti- Megson weren't gonna have any shite and were generally quite fast to put a stop to any signs of protest.
