There aren't any, they've all come round to your way of thinking the moment you named Steve Coppell.

I could get behind Coppell as Manager; just don't want him behind me.

I don't see why he would be that bad for us. Again he plays an entertaining style. And before anyone says he took Reading down after taking them up, Megson did the same at WBA. I mentioned his name as he is available. It is not up to me to go out and find the right man for the job. I just do not believe Megson is the right man. He is driving folk away because people are sick and tired of being bored to tears at the match these days.

 I like it

The pool of managers Id say we would be able to attract and would come would be the likes of Coppell etc all had a ataste of Prem experiance but have been relegated with it, we havnt the revenues to attract a decent top end of the table manager or european manager, then this leaves someone earning there crust int lower divisions vicous circle.

Really can't be arsed with trawling through 5 pages some folk writing about how much they hate Megson and just as many either liking him or just putting up with him.

Here's my view, and it's what I can't understand about the "Let's get rid of him" bunch.

Newcastle, a team hell-bent on trying as many managers as they can possibly get, but no fewer than 3 each season, have proved, beyond doubt that their methods are crap.

Bolton have never particularly been a hire 'em then fire 'em club. I think Sam Allardyce was about third longest manager in the league when he eventually walked. He didn't bring overnight success with him, it all took time.

Megson was never going to be accepted by some; no matter what.

Megson is manager at MY CLUB. Thing is, when he does go; and they ALWAYS do; I'll still have a team to SUPPORT.

Managers are relatively short term. My feelings about Bolton Wanderers are long term. If I'm fortunate to still be alive in thirty years time I'll be able to tell my grandchildren about the highs and lows of being a BWFC supporter.

We're currently in the top dozen or so teams in England. I know that millions of supporters would swap places with us right now.

BWFC; I wouldn't have them any other way!

So how long would you say is fair enough. He has had near on two seasons and in that time the football has been dross. Did you enjoy the games you have seen this season? Be honest.

In my opinion a manager needs a least 3 full seasons to completley build his own team and setup. I have enjoyed some games and some have been dogshit i agree but there is potential there and he is building a good young squad. We are a club in transition and Megson has made progress, we have stayed in the premiership with relative ease this season and we will push on next season and progress even more imo.

He did well at City too.

I'm spending far far far too much time in this section and particularly on this thresd. I urgently need to get back where I belong and tell you all about the new method I have developed for successful bottom wiping regardless of the stool type.

Anyway, for the final fucking time, Megson has done what he was asked. For that alone he deserves the chance to build and take us to this next level we once tasted. It can be done but not in an atmosphere of such bitterness.

I'd ban every fan who doesn't want him there on the grounds that you don't contribute to a positive atmosphere.

I've officially had enough.

Cuntswabs.

Bans won't be necessary as people will not continue to watch dross.

Was he fiddling with the youth team or something.

just do it

enjoy b and q

At the end of the day there is no quick fix, building success takes time.

we be alaughing stock with crowds of 3,782....

I must clarify there are also 3000 away fans in that calculation...

Half of Reading were happy for him to go, he'd apparently taken them as far as he could, couldn't motivate the team, made stupid substitutions... that's according to those who phoned into local radio this season.

we're a laughing stock now, and not because of megson (anymore), but because of our own fans.

Oh, and there were too many egos on the pitch. Players egos that is, Coppell doesn't have an ego.

Or a personality, or he hides it well. I still can't believe he's the same age as Barwick though. So that's a plus for him.

10) Gary Megson (Bolton)

It's not fashionable to praise the man, especially in Bolton, but Megson has kept the Trotters well away from the relegation mire with a relatively small squad (only 12 players have started ten-plus Premier League games) and very little pulling power in terms of new recruits. There have been questions asked - Johan Elmander has done very little to justify his fee - but high points have included a trio of England players close to a call-up, getting ?4m for the busted flush that is Kevin Nolan and giving Chelsea a bloody good scare at Stamford Bridge.

F365's independant take on Megsons season.

They rated him as the 10th best manager in the prem

Its true, the amount of people ive seen on tv who question why certain sections of our fans give Megson grief. They usually come to the conclusion that theyre morons.

Megson out, only the top four will do
