July 7, 200917 yr And if Villa turn out not to be interested after all, the Veloso deal for us will be a faint possibility once more. If he's not moved anywhere else by mid-August, and we have ?5m left in the kitty, we could try again. Till then I'd suggest we look elsewhere.

He's pissed off that the club turned down a big offer for him, even though he hasn't really been in their first team plans. He's also on about 3 bob a week in Portugal, as most players are. I've got a feeling Elmander will come good this season. Though we are short of a midfielder who can deliver the killer pass in open play.
