That'd be right. Russell Sprout manages to dig out the single entertaining defeat in the history of the Reebok Stadium.

Never seen a entertaining defeat at the Reebok, Burnden or anywhere else for that matter all defeats are shit FACT

Exactly my earlier point.

Exactly my earlier point.

I know Micky, but I thought I would say it again to see if it would sink into some thick skulls :pardon:

Personally, I would like us winning more than last season at what used to be " Fortress Reebok" And I dont care if it is scrappy 1-0 games. It was a cure for insomniacs last season and it was only those three away wins last November that kept us comfy.

To slightly disagree on Mickey's earlier point- I really enjoyed the home Arsenal match. In the grand scheme of things it was another defeat but I remember chatting to mates after that game on how much we'd enjoyed us putting the shits up the Gunners for 40 minutes and how well the crowd responded to the lads actually being positive and pushing forward. Just wish we'd do it more often. That's what pisses off many fans, we can do it but too often looks like they are being stopped from playing that way.

Sorry, Russ, but you did you answer my question?

Perhaps you guys left early that day when there were a hell of a lot who stayed and gave them a standing ovation at the end.

Have to laugh though. After the Chelsea 4-3 there were an awful lot came on here celebrating like a win. I remember posting " hold on lads, we still lost "

Funny old game.

Let me get this right if we are losing say 1-0 and I leave 5 mins before the end (which I dont ) and the final score is still 1-0 have we still not lost and therefore tyhe game was still not entertaining <_<

no, well, on SSN they were saying that they kept losing it and giving it back to Utd who just couldn't create an opening

I think this game just highlighted how poorer Utd are without Ronaldo

wouldn't surprise me if Everton bummed Burnley tomorrow 4-0

to be fair, i did only see motd highlights which was focusing on united attacking, so im possibly being a little unfair.

I dont think any would disagree on that one. Problem in past two or three years is that we aint winning enough games either playing great stuff or rubbish.

And whose fault is that then?

TBH United could have won 4-1 on wednesday but they didnt

The atmosphere was very good and the 'longside' was bouncing (and thats one of the newer stands)

Why - they have a squad of honest hard working players and a very well respected manager

also - they are living the dream of being in the top flight for the first time in 50 years so are very very excited!

Im sure this was the case at Stoke last year and I know it was the case at Bolton what is now many years ago!

It would be fantastic to get excited about going to the reebok but i question is it a case of chicken and egg?

Get excited to see excitment...

see exciting, get excited...?

They're at it again.

Are Everton this year's Newcastle?

Too many happy f?cking smiling faces in this neck of the woods for my liking.

I regret telling em all how good young mr coyle would be for em now.

Not to worry. Long way to go. Burnley will do a Hull at best. No higher than 15th.

Feck me.....Moyes out !!!

;)

It won't last. They will still go down.

dont think they will. They look to have more footballing quality, more togetherness on and off the pitch and a much much better manager.

than who?

I think it will boil down to how he reacts if/when it starts to go wrong.

Similar things were said about Hull last season, when they were beating Arsenal etc.

And when things started to go wrong, Brown had his Man City moment and it escalated from there.

Granted, they stayed up but that was probably more down to how awful the bottom three were.

than who?

Go on have a guess..... You'll only need one.

Weve seen it all before. In fact, for burnley read bolton in our first season of this current spell in the Premier League; Top of table as late as end of September/beginning of October if I remember correctly.

Lots of new teams have the billy-big-bollocks attitude towards the game and the opposition. thing is though, they always seem to get found out in the end.

I seem to also recall that, despite out first half-season greatness, we avoided relegation on the last day; as did Hull last season and no doubt others have started off at a gallop and also avoided relegation; just.

Burnley may or may not be as lucky as Bolton or Hull in their respective first seasons.

what is surprising me is they're not conceding

if they can do that, they'll be fine

evidence suggests they'll start to ship goals sometime soon

if that happens, its curtains
