Can't fault the lads today. Played really well against 11 plus the ref. That fat cunt Wiley handed them the points with a fucking joke of a sending off. Why were Torres and Gerrard not booked for their dives?

JLS has to continue at left back and Big Kev must play central as he did today. He simply terrifies defences. Everyone in a white shirt played well today. There is a right way to lose and today was it. A good honest performance.

Some decent performances today. I think Muamba did his man to man marking job on Gerrard brilliantly.

Sean Davis played brilliant i thought along with Muamba and when he got sent off it just ruined our game plan. Muamba had Gerrard in his back pocket all game until the sending off. JLS i thought was brilliant at left back and Ricketts had a good game too.

 

More of the same next week and surely our luck will pay dividends soon... Well done Wanderers.

Sorry, Gaz. Ricketts was defending just in front of me in the 1st half, and I thought his positional sense defensively was no better than Hunt. I'm not totally convinced by Steinsson, but I think he's the best of the three.

Wiley must have cost us the best part of 10 points over the last 5 years. I still remember the 3 penalties at Blackburn.

 

There have been numerous games since where every 50;50 went aainst us. Reading the season before last is one that I remember well.

 

I used to have a sense of foreboding when he reffed us. Now I am resigned to the bent bastard putting one over on us.

 

It makes football a joke, but the refs have been for a while. Knight was allowed to retire in dignity last season when he should have been booted out after the Ipswich game for instance.

Got down to the game for the first time in a while today.

Thought after we stopped showing them too much respect we competed well with them.

In a strange way,I think the ref's performance actually united the fans and the atmosphere seemed good.

Hopefully (although not 'cos of crappy refs), we'll get back to it being us (BWFC) against the world - get a bit of fire back at the ground.

Came away disappointed today but not because of the performance of the lads. They worked hard today and must have been gutted not to get anything from the game. Thought the sending off was harsh and it gave Gerrard more freedom that he hadn't had in the first half. Better performances from Knight and Sean Davies and thought Cohen had a very good game.

It annoys me that players as talented as Torres and Gerrard have to resort to diving and in Gerrards case whinging to the ref about almost everything.Just get on with the game soft lads.

Asked some scouse lads on the train what the black armbands were for and even they didn't know. Maybe they wore them because it was a Saturday!!
